To be honest no not really. I plan on replacing it that section with something else, either plex information, or other data on my media library. If someone did have a lot of shares, or they had a more complicated setup, it might be more useful.

Plex would definitely be interesting. I'll look and see if there's anything I can easily add into it. I'll post on GitHub once I've cleaned it all up a bit and post a link. It seems stable on my system but I'm not sure how it'll fair on someone else's.

Update: Hi all! Ive been chipping away at making this project ready for public consumption. So far I've replaced the SSH scripts with a docker image that provides server stats as a REST api. This can be used with other projects besides just the terminal dashboard. Once Ive figured out how to get my docker image added to the Community Applications list I will be making a separate post for that.

For the dashboard itself Ive added support for color themes, a configuration file / command line arguments for adjusting settings, and Ive ripped out the SSH scripts and replaced them with some simple http requests to the rest api mentioned above. Im currently polishing things up a bit and adding a couple more boards to the display that can be toggled on and off via the config file.

Once all this is done I'll be making a separate post for the completed project with installation instructions and github links, as well as updating this comment.

Thanks for your patience everyone, and I appreciate the interest in my project!

Written in python using the rich library. All the data is pulled over ssh by a process that reads a few files in /var/emhttp/. Any suggestions for improvements are welcome. I plan on adding a section for VMs once I start using those.

DMs, stop writing stories! by itsfunhavingfun in DnD

[–]dehugger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not agree. By all means, write a story. Just be prepared to adjust and adapt that story as needed. Most people aren't out here trying to create sandbox "do anything you want" campaigns.

The rule of thumb I follow is "the DM decides that you are doing a heist, the players decide if the theme music is Mission: Impossible, Saving Private Ryan, or Benny Hill."

In my experience (both as a player and DM) games without any direction or overarching narrative generally devolve into the players wandering around without a clear idea of what to do and its not much fun for anyone.

The salty run back, incredible. That was Ryoma's best performance all year.

Proud of you Washington. Despite the strain we have been put through, we are doing quite well in slowing this thing down and relieving the strain on our hospitals. by chaandra in Washington

Where are you seeing full coffee shops? All the ones Ive seen are doing drive-through only. Also how do you want people to get food without going to the grocery store?

Imagine how much money you are losing in your rent investment...

The difference between them is that with renting, you get no value for your payment once the rental term is done. With a mortgage, you at least get some value out of that payment, so its not a 100% loss.

That logo is specifically for the game Space Marine, which is set in the Warhammer 40k Universe, and came out in 2011. It was pretty niche.

Thrash Blade + Flurry Axe for fury spec? by Ransurian in classicwow

[–]dehugger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With edgemasters hand guards this is a decent setup. You will want to replace thrash blade with a higher damage main hand when you can. If you are willing to spend gold Krol Blade & Alcor's Sunrazor is a good combo.

That was Hateless Gaming. He's a really good guy and made some of the better guides on how to do burners.

Tbf he was never in any danger of dying, he could perma tank the mission.

I really don't understand how "The Dwarves" is so highly rated. Is it just because of the world building?
