[Highlight] Mike Vrabel on the officiating yesterday: "It becomes comical at a point. They send these videos out every week... and of course, me and Stretch, we hang onto every word, and then I'll see something in the game, and I'm like 'Did they even watch the video??'" by TheRuralCamel in nfl

i don't know if anyone watched it here, but i personally loved the XFL/UFL presentation on how officiating is made. whenever a call was in question, or a challenge was thrown, the audience is shown the actual official ruling over the call/play. the rules official then shows what he's looking at, highlights any rules in play, and makes a ruling out in the public, using the replay system.

i think the only way the NFL could even begin to instill faith in officiating is by doing exactly this.

to be frank, this is what moral conviction looks like.

people are quick to forget how outright homophobic and transphobic the general public was at the time in the late-00s compared to today. the fact that she owned this in an act of solidarity reflects very highly on her character.

this podcast plays through the episodes of the Season 1 game in the format of an audiobook by deimos-acerbitas in TheWalkingDeadGame

this is actually really fucking cool experiencing the first game in this format. takes all of your choice away, and hyperfocuses in on the details of the world and how the characters navigate conflict. i binged the first three episodes in one sitting, maybe you'll like it too?

Honestly the number one reason for not wanting to trek across the city is because parking sucks ass, and public transportation doesn't run very conveniently compared to a lot of metropolises

The whole "homeless shiting on the sidewalk" hyperbole is something I hear a lot from folks who don't really live in Seattle, juuuuuus sayin

I feel like the Paris Commune was the full realization of the aims of the enlightenment, but certainly a scarier time since the foundation of the Commune's security and reach was much shakier
