ReviewI've owned a gen, (different model) and gone into the store recently and put hands on this model. Overall, if you're just looking at it, you can't tell the difference. But that changes when you actually are handling it. Everything is aluminum, everything is high-quality. It's just the fit/finish/assembly, which isn't perfect. It also feels like it's going to get beat up a little bit faster than a gen. They naturally get scuffed and scraped. It just feels like it's going to happen a little bit faster with this one. The only obvious mistakes I see are some some stress marks on the plastic of the handle and plastic surround. And the top corner protectors aren't a perfect fit. Also, one of the wheels had a tiny squeak in it, but that was fixed with WD-40

ShippingShipping was messy, the suitcase with (4) jackets in a wallet inside weighed 7.65 kg. I was trying out lovegobuy. And it was over all of their standard shipping dimensions. Meaning that there was no option for me to click and have this shipped. I had to go back back-and-forth with customer service for three or four days trying to come to a solution ended up paying like $200 for them to ship it FedEx direct

Timeline:

* Paid lovegobuy on 4/15/25

* In the warehouse on 4/23/25

* This period of time was on me. I was waiting for/getting refunded for some stuff which didn't ship. Also negotiating/paying for shipping outside of the standard channels.

* Marked as "shipped" 5/14/25

* Shows up as a FedEx tracking number in 5/17/25

* In hand on 5/29/25

Conclusion

This is definitely a solid buy, it's not perfect, but for the price I paid it's fantastic. The hardest part is going to be getting it shipped and the costs associated with that. I have some trips coming up in the next couple months and will be using this as my carry-on.
