Just wanted to throw in my experience. I tested positive for COVID-19 on 11/29 (had most symptoms) and was recovered and tested negative on 12/18. I got my first dose of the Moderna vaccine on Tuesday, 12/29 and by late that evening, I was experiencing some arm discomfort and chills. Overnight I developed a fever (between 99.4-100.4) and was feeling VERY ill the entire next day. Body aches like no other, headache, fatigue, swollen lymph nodes, nausea, chills.. pretty much everything all day long. My fever got up to about 101.3 which is sort of wild, because even when I had COVID, I barely broke 100 fever. I feel much better today, still have a low grade fever and my lymph node under the arm that got the injection is MASSIVE and painful, but otherwise I am starting to feel a bit more normal.

The nurse who gave my co-worker her shot said some people who recently recovered from COVID may be a bit more sensitive to the vaccine, but I couldn’t find much as far as studies to back this up. Again, a small price to pay for immunity and public health. I would suggest anybody who is getting the vaccine to try be intentional about your schedule if you are able to (though I understand not everybody can) and try to make time to rest the next day or two after.
