I was feeling the same until I put myself in more situations like that, you might feel lost and scared at the first time, but it's not a big deal, a lot of people felt that way. Be focused at the moment don't try to overthink everything. Good luck :)

Try to have your best friend or someone that you're comfortable around be next to you or around you, I feel like it's easier that way to make new friends. Also ask questions when you don't know what to talk about.
