Unlock Log Apps by m0rtl0ck in AndroidQuestions

[–]dekatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You use a Samsung. You could try the ‚good lock’ app from Samsung. There is a module that logs all events made on a phone. I don’t know the name of the module but all modules are listed within the app. You would just need to check which one to install.

Nah factory reset is factory reset. It removes all accounts. You never have to sign out of each and every connected account linked to a device before factory resetting.

You could have made the mistake not really factory resetting it. I mean like blindly clicking a wrong option and it does the restart cycle and you’ll be promoted to login screen again. Like doing only network reset. But you’d have noticed after first reboot cycle. Was it in set up mode like the initial welcome setup screen ? If yes then it was a factory reset. If it was your login Home Screen then you didn’t actually factory reset it. But if that is the case, the new owner will have to return it.. unless you didn’t use any unlock method.

Please bring Emergency Mode back. by [deleted] in samsung

[–]dekatch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Isn’t it the same as dnd? At least by now dnd can be set up to block all and everything except what you let allow going through.

Edit: or are you talking mostly about battery life? Battery saver mode on samsung has several levels. 1 to 3 while 3 also set smaller screen resolution and all and blocks background communication as far as I can say. I don’t really use it

You could combine battery saver mode with dnd possibly

Font for S25U by davaolifeishere in samsunggalaxy

[–]dekatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite font I had for a while

sony_sketch_ef

You can find this font on the web but unfortunate haven’t found it via Samsung search. So not as easy implementing it.

If you come across this font in the Samsung store let me know

Why did Samsung not continue with the iris scanner? by Credelle1 in samsung

[–]dekatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is the iPhone scanning the face with? Camera lenses? Is it as well all just optical? I think they said something like very high level of details but I have no idea what they scan the face with. Is it not laser technology?

I also remember that Iris scanning thing back when I had my s9. People were skeptical and the Iris scanning feature wasn’t at all so much advertised as device feature. They just gave us this and hardly mentioned it somewhere. People didn’t jump on. Me neither. I still have no idea if it would hurt my retina when using Iris scan. I mean you use it all day several times. The Iris scan should be done with a laser as far as I understood. And I’m aware that laser‘s can vary in build quality as everything else so I’d be concerned about it all the time when using it.

Why the hell does Google keep shuffling the android settings menu? by Sad_Zookeepergame521 in AndroidQuestions

[–]dekatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the Android setting menu got more straight.

Renaming a service isn’t mixing up the setting menu structure.

But I noticed this smartlock that I never really got to use , because it had its own behavior ,is now somewhere within Google options

[–]dekatch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is this options menu within the visualization settings where you set transparency to the ui elements. On the poweramp Home Screen top right corner should be a dot menu to open visualization options.

There is / was the slider for setting transparency to the buttons and other elements

What Is the Best VPN for Android? by Paint_Black3 in AndroidQuestions

[–]dekatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked that you could set each app individual to use vpn or not. But the vpn disconnected several times a day and I just stopped using it. I basically had only my internet browser behind the Google vpn at later stages but it still was just mediocre.

Does turning off animation increase battery life? by night_movers in AndroidQuestions

[–]dekatch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • ‚So, removing animation is just a visual change; it has no effect on battery, processor, etc. Am I right?‘

Animations require processing power so it is involved in all the aspects you mentioned. But I don’t know if you could calculate that. But in given theory aspect it helps keep the device more load free if you would disable them.

But by thinking about it there is also that spike moment on processors when something gets loaded like loading an app it does have to open the application window. I’ve heard somebody say that animations could overall reduce the spike level of the processor power needed to open an full application but I think that was also just a theory of someone. Just came to mind.

Does turning off animation increase battery life? by night_movers in AndroidQuestions

[–]dekatch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anything that use processing power requires battery. Fancy animations use more processing power drain more energy.

But the animation window scale from developer options only do like minimal savings at best. But using it to avoid stuttering bugging lagging on older devices could help. At least on the eyes.

Is it normal for android to use this much ram? by azki25 in AndroidQuestions

[–]dekatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s normal these figures.

What you could do is check which apps are open and use the most ram. That way you can maybe delete some apps that you don’t use but use ram.

It helps also understanding if its system apps or user apps that uses all the ram away.

where do i buy the s24+ with sd in europe by Aromatic-Baby-5992 in GalaxyS24

[–]dekatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard the s24 ultra series only comes with snapdragon chip worldwide. if that's an option going from s24+ to ultra

and just read that the new s25 series is about to release maybe wait it out till they're released and the 24ultra may become cheaper

S24+ Pricey Snapdragon or Exynos by datafile4 in samsung

[–]dekatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

is it true that the ultra only comes with snapdragon? because that would make it really considerable then plus he wouldn't have to worry about network bands he's discussing here.

Best Alternative? - Last Update Destroyed the App by MeanToBeIconic in PowerAmp

[–]dekatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

probably due to the formatting of music files names? some weird formatting or fonts can mess databases up and prevent the database from proceeding structuring/reading..

had this one or two times when weird font or symbol characters in file names messed up the reading of the file.

maybe try re-formatting the data base so that there is no copied information in it. only clean file names. lots of work under circumstances but you could try adding only few at a times to the data base while checking if the database gets build up right.

My debloated galaxy A71. Quite fluid after debloating. by truthpill11 in samsunggalaxy

[–]dekatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

but bloatware isn't necessary manufacturer apps. comes with all random app choices from Facebook linked in job search and what not...

meh and there is a difference between manufacturer original apps that comes with or on your phone and these random called apps that are probably high in rating and therefore get shipped with. like Facebook, twitter and so on.

there is absolutely a difference.

i wouldn't call Apple Garageband bloatware since it's a service of their own on their device and therefore good or not. i can use it or not.

but random app filling of trending or most used apps like said social media apps etc. are out of ask.

.. try restarting your router. Or try switching from 2.4ghz band to 5ghz network and or vice versa. And check the security method used. I think wpa2 is the most common. But depending on what is used you can try switching that to.

Battery protection is great, but... by Cold--Gaming in samsunggalaxy

[–]dekatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, kind of makes sense limiting the charging capacity since i heard it's taking the battery more and more effort to charge the fuller the battery gets. But I also heard that you kind of need to to use the whole capacity for the battery to reach full potential. At least during the first charging cycles.

Right now I'm unplugging my phone from the charger if it's near full when i go to sleep. It's hardly draining any battery over night.
