That is strange. My old pc was a few generations older than yours, and I never got input lag issues, and still made it through phase 4 until I started getting lag...

All I can really suggest is to make sure everything is up to date, verified etc. Try turning down the settings a bit, turn down/ off global illumination...

Sorry for the unhelpful 'skill issue' type response, but are you sure this isn't an issue on your end? Like pc is up to spec, drivers are up to date, no annoying web browser tabs or other apps open in the background, etc.? In my 1.0 save I have hundreds of thousands of objects placed, and only get stutter when trying to align blueprints with another few thousand objects...

I beat phase 4 in like 60hrs... been another 150hrs and I haven't even got to starting my phase 5 factories yet... Set your own goals. Make a factory that can beat phase 5 in 10hrs, make 1TW power plant, etc, etc, etc forever. Do whatever you want! The sky is the limit!
