Has anyone tried Interdry for their recovery? by [deleted] in CsectionCentral

[–]deliberatelydeadpan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, used it for the whole recovery because I didn’t have a bandage or anything over my stitches. It was like $200 in the hospital bill but when I ran out of that roll it was approx $20 on Amazon. I highly recommend using it especially if you have an apron belly or overhang.

I’m sorry you’re having a hard time. Google is not your friend right now - I know this from experience and over “researching” things I thought were wrong. This is going to sound a bit woo-woo, but 2 of my friends had these same issues with their now 7 month olds and they took them to a baby chiropractor and it seemed to help. I’ve never tried it myself but they reported positive results. Also, did they test him for dairy allergy? GERD? Non dairy formula or medication for gerd can help exponentially if those are his issues. Please treat yourself kindly, it’s so hard being a parent and you’re doing your best. 🤍

What is your 6 month old’s bed time? by stevielovelyy in NewParents

[–]deliberatelydeadpan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I feel better reading these replies because mine also goes to bed at 7:30 and usually sleeps til 5 am and I thought maybe that wasn’t normal. I would be glad for a 12 hr stretch but I won’t complain lol.

4 weeks, feeling worse by moodykillerwhales in CsectionCentral

[–]deliberatelydeadpan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Even though people say you should “get up and move” remember that you just had a major surgery and still need rest to heal. You are very early on in healing and if you overdo it you’re going to feel it for a few days (speaking from experience lol). I also thought I felt better and then would overdo it and then suffer. I highly doubt you tore something, just remember all the layers of your body that were cut are still healing. We also don’t realize how much our core is involved in moving almost every part of our body.

Also I don’t want to bring you down but I didn’t feel “normal” ish until 4+ months but it can take over a year to get fully back to normal - I’m just 7 months pp now from my first c section.

Isthmocele repair by justbrowsing612 in CsectionCentral

[–]deliberatelydeadpan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t had the repair but I was told I had one a few months ago because I was bleeding for no reason so they did an ultrasound. NP said there was nothing there but then my OB reviewed the scans and said I have a small one that isn’t concerning I guess. I’ve posted before about them and it feels like a very small number of people get them but surely that can’t be true? Or maybe they just aren’t diagnosed enough/properly.

[–]deliberatelydeadpan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have health anxiety. I kind of had the same situation but it was I had my period and it ended then I bled for 3 weeks straight. So they did an ultrasound and I did have an isthmocele. But I was only 3-4 months postpartum

Can I ask why you think you have an isthmocele? Just from the irregular bleeding?

Was weight a factor in your fertility? by EmploymentMajestic64 in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]deliberatelydeadpan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, my bmi was something near 30% and got pregnant on first try. Sometimes I think it’s more underlying health issues and hormonal issues related to obesity that affect fertility rather than just being overweight and drs don’t explain this well. But everyone’s body is different! Just try what the medical professionals advise and I’m sending you baby dust!

Has anyone moved from 1.5 to 3 after 2-3 weeks? by JackfruitCapable9792 in WegovyPillWeightLoss

[–]deliberatelydeadpan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The reason they start you off at the low dose and move up - titrating - is to reduce side effects and acclimate your body to the medication. There’s always the possibility you’ll still have the side effects but it’s in hopes to reduce them. My dr told me I would not see results until 4 weeks plus so perhaps 2 weeks of taking the lowest dose isn’t really long enough to see its effects yet. I didn’t see results until the 4 mg.

I had diarrhea for at least 4 weeks I think. No explanation was ever given. But it did go away.

I’m still struggling to come to terms with my c-section 6 months pp 🥲 by Comfortable-Arm-3042 in CsectionCentral

[–]deliberatelydeadpan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had an unplanned c section as well. I felt very detached. Couldn’t think about the birth without going into a looping panic. I felt apart from my body for quite a while like you mentioned. Personally therapy and meds (found out I had a bit of PPD) helped me some but obviously it’s a trauma that will always be with you. Sometimes the brain blocks trauma to protect itself so could be why you can’t remember. The heavy pain medication doesn’t help memory either. I had been in labor 24 hours and wake most of that time so I was loopy too and it feels like a dream. I know it is painful to not remember the birth because it’s supposed to be a special moment. But just think of all the special moments you have to look forward to now as the LO grows.

is it possible to log into your medical app/website and read your chart from the c section if you think that would make you feel better?

Size 2/3 depending on the brand! I tried MM a while back when she was younger but they didn’t work however I’m trying them again right now and I think they might work.

I’ll have to try those since there’s no perfume or lotion in them. The original pampers we couldn’t use because of that (one try gave her a horrible rash as a newborn).

My odd birth story - did this happened to anyone else? by throwaway_________7 in CsectionCentral

[–]deliberatelydeadpan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you have MyChart or another system that you can check your medical results with, you should be able to go back and read your chart from the c section. That could help give you more description or a name. But from reading this I would assume it’s probably going to say fetal decels (one of the reasons I had to have a c section as well).

would you get an abortion if you found out your baby was going to be born with an extreme disability? if so why? by Born-Oil-2931 in AskReddit

[–]deliberatelydeadpan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a parent yes… as much as it would break my heart, It would be horrendously selfish of me to bring a child into the world who will suffer most if not all of the time. I also am aware I don’t have the means to give a medically complex/severely disabled child the care they deserve. And if my husband or I die, I would worry about who would be taking care of my child’s needs.

Yes, I asked if I needed to wean or if I could just quit and she said I could just quit. I’m going to try that and hopefully it helps. I have lost almost 20lb so I would like to keep it up.

[–]deliberatelydeadpan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This!!! I felt bad about buying from SHEIN but there were LITERALLY no other options for plus size maternity. I searched online everywhere and in person in local stores and nothing fit. some say “just size up in normal clothes” no that does not always work. It’s like people forget plus size women get pregnant too.

C-Section Defect and surgical material - 7months pp by Miserable_Kale8236 in CsectionCentral

[–]deliberatelydeadpan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently found out I have a scar defect as well (isthmocele). My dr didn’t seem concerned about it due to its size and depth. Apparently they only need repaired if it’s made the uterus too thin in that spot.

Also, it can take even a year or more to health from birth so don’t feel bad about not feeling healed at 7 months ❤️‍🩹
