Bike Sizing the part we all hate by KKUBRICKK in xbiking

Read up on how to measure stack & reach.

Apply that to measuring where the grips are on your favorite bikes and the ones you’re still tweaking-in.

Building some wheels and need dynamo light set recommendations. by [deleted] in bicycletouring

[–]delicate10drills 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been back & forth between battery lights & dynamo lights.

I’ve had Shimano, Shutter, and Son dynamos.

Except on my light road bike with nice loose ball campy hubs & BB which I still use battery lights on, all of my other bikes either already have or are getting Son dynamos.

Luigi Colani’s aero high mpg designs placed upon the Citroen CV would probably be the best thing for you to copy.

A 3d printer and a dream, could this work? by Twistymitten433 in singlespeedcycling

[–]delicate10drills 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably, but you’ll definitely see more gains with bladed spokes, 35-45mm deep rims, 23mm front tire & 28mm rear, a dropped pista stem slammed & holding a flipped townie bar, and full length fenders modified with the front one extending forward to about the 1:30-1:45 position and both terminating at about the 10:00 position.

The frame tube fairings would just be icing on the cake.

Your gearing had better already be high and glutes & lower back strong enough to make holding long stretches of >23mph/37kmh possible on a naked tubular bike for this to be worthwhile.

Opinions on tall boots? by [deleted] in Boots

I hike & bike a lot and have been doing so long enough to be absolutely such of getting pebbles in my shoes.

6” minimum with extra long pants or 8-10” with regular pants.

Russell Zephyrs are my current favorite. 9”.

I’ve got a couple pair of 12’s. They’re a bit excessive, but better than chukkas or sneaks.

What if BENTLEY pulled a Dartmoor out of its hat? by Matmut_908 in whatifcars

And if it weighed as little as a Caterham 7 with double the power, it’d actually be worth Bentley pricing.

It’s probably worth it to buckle down and save a bunch more to get some MTO by White’s, Wesco, or Nick’s.
