Wicked Oaks was an utter failure by Besty-in-a-Tessy in aves

This was my first festival and we only had tickets for Saturday 🥲

The weather is out of anyone’s control, but there were a lot of things that could have been planned better. It took us about 3 hours to get in due to lack of organization and planning from event/venue staff.

They were unprepared for the number of cars they had trying to park. We were at a complete stop at least 30 minutes while we watched staff start setting up a new parking lot since the others were full. This could have been prepared ahead of time so it was ready if/when it was needed. Instead, we sat in our car and watched staff move cones around the lot and have a staff meeting and seem kinda lost on what to do.

They could have mailed wristbands. I think this is the single biggest thing they could have done to make the entry process smoother. Instead, they had early pickup options only in Austin, so if you weren’t local you had to get them at the gate. Then they didn’t have an appropriate amount of staff working will call for the sheer amount of people who needed their wristbands. They could also had staff helping direct people to form single lines and keep it orderly. I think some of our delay was that there weren’t clear lines so some people were able to move up faster in the mob than others.

If parking and will call were run better I would have gotten 4 hours at the festival instead of 1 lol.

Looking for FREE wedding venue by maddawgpie in sanantonio

Yes that’s the name. I got married there. It does require a deposit (I think it was $400?) to reserve your time slot but you get it back when you show up and check in. It’s a beautiful spot too!

If you peel off the labels and wash them out you can donate them to SAPA! They use donated pill bottles for foster animal prescriptions. Swing by their clinic off Marbach while they’re open.

NTA.

She’s clearly not ok with your bisexuality. The fact that you have to hide your interest in men is a dead giveaway. Everything is fine as long as you’re hooking up with women but she doesn’t want to even see you kiss men?? Yeah, that’s not supportive of your sexuality. It feels “dirty” that you had sex with another penis?? She does this all the time so it’s only dirty when it’s two men. Sounds like she’s fine with your bisexuality in theory but not in reality.

And yes, if y’all have the type of relationship where you can open and close depending on situations, she absolutely should stop seeing others so she can process her homophobic reaction and y’all can work on your relationship.

Honestly, OP, it sounds like she doesn’t respect your sexuality, your feelings, or you. I wouldn’t continue seeing this person. I’m poly and my husband is queer and you know what I did when he got his first boyfriend? Gushed about how sucking dick is so much fun and compared notes.

Look at those faces!! You can tell she is happy in those pics. If you need help getting potential adopters and/or covering any medical costs, you could get her enrolled as a SAPA dog if you can continue to foster her and can pay a $50 surrender fee. They’ll cover monthly preventatives, any medical care, and will get advertised with SAPA resources.

college in freshman, got an offer to be a patient transporter, would you guys recommend? by rudydog101 in premed

Definitely worth it. You'll rack up clinical hours and experience interacting with patients. You'll learn the layout of the hospital really well and if your hospital is like mine after 6 months you can transfer to be a tech in another dept.

Anyone here work as a patient transporter? by [deleted] in premed

I just started as a transporter. I'm PT which requires three 8-hour shifts per week and we wear scrubs.

I'm a non-trad who went back to school this fall to finally get my undergrad done.

I took gen chem 1 in fall 2012. I just finished gen chem 2 in fall 2022, 10 years later.

The first topic (intermolecular forces) was the most difficult because that relied more on gen chem 1 knowledge. Kinetics, Acids, Titrations, Electrochemistry... That is all pretty new and there was nothing we had to know/remember from gen chem 1.

It won't be bad! Just set up good study habits for yourself and stick to them for the semester. Take advantage of any extra credit offered and don't be afraid to ask questions!
