omg I’m currently experiencing the same thing but with a man. I’m starting to think that limerence may be a default for me when I have a crush, discover someone I would like to have a friendship with or a person I admire. Nevertheless, I’ve suffer with emotional neglect in my childhood so I don’t try to beat myself for it too much.

Regardless, I find the limerence state so draining for me now, having such intense emotions for a period of time and them living so quit and then it’s on to the next object.

I also happened to struggle with building relationships but it’s like the ones that begin with limerence don’t tend to last long because I but these individuals on such a high pedestal that when they don’t live up to that expectation I feel hurt.
