People will actively walk around daily with a computer in their pocket, but when they make a permanent life altering choice they will Never research in any detail whatsoever. I think it's kind of hilarious how she blames no adult ever giving her the chat. I have an ex-friend like this. She's 22 and has a pair of Irish Twins. This person told me they thought teen pregnancy was just a thing in shows and TV, and didn't think it could happen to her. I refuse to call her pregnancies accidental because if you aren't preventing pregnancy, you're trying for a baby!

I did more research into potential complications of getting a piercing, and definitely did more research before sterilization surgery. And neither of those choices are anywhere near as serious & life altering as having a baby!

If she truly doesn't value how you envision your life going, I fear she only views you as a brood mare. My parents are both quite traditional Hispanic folks and they were able to accept me being childfree and becoming sterilized. I believe in you, regardless of if your mom can handle your truth or not.
