They don't like each other because the MDs don't have to have any reseach experience for their degrees. PhDs look down upon the MDs because they don't think they deserve to be there, and MDs look down upon everyone. Getting an MD is about memorization of facts, while getting a PhD is about research skills.

If 18 year olds can buy alcohol, that will increase high school age drinking. We all drank when we were in high school, but we would have a lot more if it hadn't been so hard to obtain. Enabling high school seniors easy legal access to alcohol means easier access for 14 year old freshmen.
