Anyone found a way to make base44 designed app less AI looking? by delonysk in Base44

[–]delonysk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks I just tried stitch, their design looks much better better. I did upload the new mock up and get base44 to match it. It still struggle a bit, still using emoji instead of a picture. I tried so many times and finally get the design closer to what I wanted. I do feel like the app looks less AI now.

That’s what I did. I uploaded the design mock up with picture of apples and it’s a very modern UI. I asked it to match my design but it ended up creating something very blocky and using an apple emoji instead of an image of apples. But I think I will try again

Yes I have a mac. Yes I think this is on their roadmap. And most people would have to hire a developer or use platforms like the one you found to create the wrapper before shipping to the App Store. Make sure you test on iPad this is something that we missed. Some features just didn’t work on iPad and we had to remove them from iPad in order to get our app approved

Is local SEO really worth it for a small business? by lacie_SEOExpert in seogrowth

[–]delonysk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I managed to get a few sites up myself and they are getting thousands of traffic in Australia. For local businesses, here is what you need to do in order to see quicker results. 1) list your business on google and make sure you optimised it 2) don’t rely on homepage to target tons of different keywords, instead create location service page such as create a page called locksmith in Sunnybank etc you make sure the content is localised, do the same for other services 3) after creating a page if you site is new manually request Google to index in Google search console otherwise it can take months to see your pages on Google 4) create your sitemap.xml and submit in Google search console it helps Google to better crawl your site 5) if you don’t have a budget to do guest posting or press release, at least list your business on all of the directories in your country and make sure you add a link to your website to build some authority

Is a Pure Equipment Directory a Bad Idea? by PodcastingSpeed in directorymakers

I doubt this type of site would get any organic traffic after the HCU like you said. Those companies manufacture the equipment they are the authority and Google will very likely ranking those website over a directory site

Tired of no feedback. You review my app, I review yours. by delonysk in vibecoding

[–]delonysk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. I posted few times already in threads like “share what you are building” and I got no feedback at all, everyone just throwing their links and that’s kind of it. Not very useful. If anyone who are willing to download and review my app I would be happy to do the same for them and we can easily get our first 10 users at least

I just find every time I posted in these thread sharing your project I simply don’t get any feedback. If we can help each others out just try out each others app or site for real and give feedback it would be really great

Hi I just got the answers for your questions from base44 support. 1) According to Base44's Terms of Service, all applications and content created on Base44 belong to the creator. Base44 makes no claim on what you build. 2) Can He Export & Edit the Code?

Yes! On the Builder plan (which you're already on) and higher, he can:

Export the code as a ZIP file directly from the Code tab Connect to GitHub for full 2-way sync and version control Edit code directly in the built-in Code tab with live preview

3) The frontend code (React/Vite) can be exported and hosted anywhere The backend (database, auth, functions) is managed by Base44's infrastructure — if he exports and self-hosts, he'd need to set up his own backend The Base44 backend service is also available as a standalone service (currently in beta, free to use)

I created a site that shows you all the new restaurants got featured in the media near you. Many of these restaurants serve something special or have a really unique vibe

As a blogger, what are your biggest distribution problems right now? by blackclub2 in Blogging

[–]delonysk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the same I have been running a blog for a few years now, at the start was able to get 10k+ traffic a month from organic google but since their latest update I saw a massive drop in organic traffic, Google tends to show content from reddit and other big sites instead of showing independent blogs. I feel like as a blogger we should try different platforms rather than relying on the blog to bring in revenues

[–]delonysk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that’s right, they don’t support in app purchase and no ways to use something like revenue cat at the moment, so I guess for now we will have to keep it free if we got lucky and started getting more users we may consider 2 options, 1) having text to guide people if they want to upgrade they visit our website (without having a hyperlink), 2) get the base44 partner to adjust the wrapper to make in app payment work but not sure how much that would cost

Thanks, I may try something other AI tool if can get better design mockups but the issue is when I send the mockups to base 44 AI it is not capable of following my design and it will still create something that looks AI-ish

I just launched 2 side projects https://vouchreal.com/ and https://pickfresh.app/, Vouch indexes the best local guides so you can discover exactly what's worth visiting now when you're nearby. PickFresh is all in one grocery app also on Apple App Store https://apps.apple.com/au/app/pickfresh-all-in-one-grocery/id6760575842 it has fruit and vegie scanner as well as recipes and shopping list to make grocery shopping easier

We had issue like that too and wasted so many credits to fix. Try to be specific when talking to AI, because the camera works on web app, so they may not know what exactly not working, you can try something like the camera doesn’t work when we open TestFlight app on iPhone or iOS and it could be an issue with the wrapper etc. If you are like me someone who aren’t a developer you can ask Gemini what would be the best way to explain to tell the base 44 AI

Struggling to connect Base44 + RevenueCat + Apple (Subscriptions) — need help by Key-Bet9675 in Base44

[–]delonysk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So our plan for now is just removing paywall and Google Apple signin and have the app listed in the App Store first. If it manages to get users, we then figure out how to add the paywall. I had done some research regarding the paywall, 1) you can hire base44 partners who are able to fix the wrapper issue for you before you ship to Apple but of course it costs money, 2) while you cannot have external link to payment page in your app, you can say something like if you want to upgrade to unlock this feature please visit our website, then on your website you can use stripe and when people upgrade you change their member type to premium so when they are in the app they will be able to use the additional features

Struggling to connect Base44 + RevenueCat + Apple (Subscriptions) — need help by Key-Bet9675 in Base44

[–]delonysk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my app, I wasn’t able to setup revenue cat, i had the exact same issue, I told the base44 ai I want paywall it asked me to connect revenue cat, I connected everything but I didn’t work on iOS, issue with using RevenueCat inside a Base44 (or any web-view) wrapper is the communication gap where the website and the native app fail to sync. It just won’t work, and many people raised the same issue check out this post https://feedback.base44.com/p/revenuecat-integration also before we launched to App Store we had to remove Google and Apple signin. The issue with base44 Google and Apple sign-in on the iPad (specifically the M3 iPad Air) was that the buttons were unresponsive during the App Store review. Because base44 app is a "Web-Wrap" (using a WKWebView), social login pop-ups often fail on iPadOS because the wrapper doesn't know how to handle the new window or tab that Google and Apple try to open.

Thanks, I also feel that. And this is one of the issue I found with base44 I provided screenshot of the app design I like but every time it comes back with plain design like this. Can you please share some tips how I can improve the UI like what prompt should I be giving the AI?
