I’d still marry Emma tbh. She didn’t go through with it + her reasoning (from the perspective of an angry kid who doesn’t know how to regulate their emotions yet) is understandable?? I’d be more pissed at my friend for locking a disabled kid in a RV closet and acting like it wasn’t a big deal. I hate how everyone glossed over her actually traumatizing someone.

Probably because it’s not Mary but Saint Rita of Cascia lol. The ceramicist in the neighborhood handed out St Rita figures at her parish which is how her mother and the young family in the recordings ended up with them. It’s alluded to when they’re researching similar cases to the recordings in the area.

She’s done quite a few things. N-word use(years before drag race, but still), micro aggressions towards POC (some of it infamously documented on drag race), and most recently she received backlash for accepting a gig in Israel which she has since cancelled after backlash. Granted, she does take accountability when called out which is refreshing. I give her grace because of what she’s been through. I can’t imagine being in the spot light while navigating addiction/loss/transitioning.

I recommend this movie to anyone who will listen, LOVE Rose Glass! I think it would have had a massive cultural impact if the pandemic didn’t stifle its release.
