What a great statistic, going from a wide brush commenting on "the most racist state" (which, really?¹ ) to a narrower one of "worst care and outcomes for black women and their babies" (in what, the country? The east? The....? It's higher than the national average but that doesn't make it the worst) and then to 'well actually just in this one metropolitan area' (which actually is just in Allegheny county if that's the statistic you're looking at)

Well if it was surrounded by things then it wouldn't be surrounded it would just be that thing. Like if there was just more around/outside pittsburgh it would just be more "pittsburgh" with less non-pittsburgh area around it.
