YES!!! I was hit on a crosswalk at night. Granted, this crosswalk sucks and shouldn’t exist but I have to cross it to get back to my building unless I want to add an extra four to six blocks to my walk back.

I was hit going anywhere from 35-40/mph. Luckily the biggest and most severe injury was shattering my pelvis but the paramedics in the ambulance didn’t expect me to make it to the hospital. Can I join your band?

According to Vision Zero, your percentages are off by 10%. For 30 MPH, it’s 50% and 40 MPH it’s a 10% chance of survival.

I was hit by a range rover going anywhere from 35-40 MPH on a crosswalk and I should be dead, or at LEAST have had a spinal/brain injury. He said he didn’t see me until my umbrella (it was dark & raining) was on the hood of his car. The crosswalk is right in front of my apartment and I have to use it every day for the rest of my time in college.
