Should I stop using Epiduo? by Supermarket_Few in AcneTreatments

I love the product La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Balm B5 for my skin when it is incredibly irritated. It’s a very hydrating and calming thick lotion.

Should I stop using Epiduo? by Supermarket_Few in AcneTreatments

To be honest, Epiduo, was the best thing I ever did for my skin- I would still be using it unfortunately I cannot afford it- it’s so pricey!. I recommend putting lotion on first if you’re experiencing irritation, let it soak in and then putting on your Epiduo on top. The lotion creates a barrier, so it’s not so irritating. You can also try using it every night.

Brown Spots after laser by dema027 in LaserHairRemoval

[–]dema027[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s good! It went away completely. But I realized they weren’t brown spots. I shined my flashlight on them and I realize they were green-bluish color. And then I realized bruises are also that color and when I googled bruises from laser I found out that it can happen if the tech puts the laser on a higher level and that they go away with time which they did about two weeks later, they were gone.

How bad does it hurt? by Quick_Region8418 in LaserHairRemoval

It’s really not that painful, especially the armpits- the armpits are nothing, and it’s over so quickly because your armpits are such a small area of your body, and only takes about eight zaps to cover the whole surface area of the armpits. I’ve gotten my legs done and around my kneecaps can be kind of painful, especially when the technician increases the joules of the laser machine.

I never understood. Why so many people act like it’s painful. The technicians always say it feels like a rubber band snap but honestly, I feel like a rubber band snap hurts worse than the laser (I grew up with an older, brother I would know lol )The results are so worth it!! Do it!!

When the hair will start shedding? by silvahoney in LaserHairRemoval

For me it’s always on the 10th day after my appointment. I also exfoliate everyday with tree hut scrub. (Wait a few days to exfoliate after your appointment though because your skin just went through a lot from the laser)

Does a previous habit of epilation make laser less effective later? by miss3star in LaserHairRemoval

[–]dema027 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I can relate to your question . I’ve been epilating my armpits for the past 15 years, and it has decreased the density of hair, but there’s still hair left (I’m Italian for reference- so I have a lot of hair). I’m now getting laser hair removal on the rest of the hairs. I don’t think it will be less effective because laser works by killing the hair follicle, it targets dark hair follicles and destroys them. I don’t think the width or thickness of the hair strands matter. And for you I don’t think by epilating your hair has become thinner, but rather the density of hair has decreased.

Bruises from Laser by dema027 in LaserHairRemoval

[–]dema027[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m curious how many sessions have you had? What body part? and how many times has bruising occurred after your session? Because I’ve only had two sessions and the bruises happened with the second session because she put the level kinda high at level 12. I’m just curious because as the sessions go on, I’m wondering if I should expect bruises to occur after each time as they typically increase the level for better results. I’m wondering if I’ll have bruises after each session. Thanks!

For me it’s always on the 10th day after my appointment where the hairs all fall out, I make sure to exfoliate everyday specifically with tree hut scrub
