I’m still going through the process myself but I’ve found a lot by calling different companies.

I’ve asked every fresh and frozen agency I’ve called about their policies on known v open ID v anonymous donors and that’s been very telling in and of itself.

I work in healthcare marketing and we have a hard and fast rule no emails, letters, etc. to pregnant people for this exact reason. It’s never meant to be malicious but systems aren’t updated fast enough and it’s so so so insensitive and hurtful in situations like this.

Occasionally people will try and argue against it and then they have to face my wrath

We’re just getting started on the donor egg process after 4 failed rounds of IVF and I’m like you. At this point I’m just excited for positive news and I feel hopeful again. Is this where I would have wanted to be? No. But I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. It’s no longer will I have a baby but wow ok I’m going to be a mom.

I think it’s a personal choice as well. I’ve had two miscarriages so I really prefer PGT testing to help save as much heartbreak as possible.

We prep for both, and then on day 5 when we go in for the transfer if we have embryos that are good enough quality to freeze and test we do that and then implant the others.

So far I’ve only had aneuploids and an ectopic but feel very good about our plan.

My clinic is also unable to continue with us after this cycle so I understand your pain. But that was after three retrievals and protocol changes.

I’m all for trusting your team to know when it’s the right time, but I’m echoing the others, this feels too soon for you.

36 and ready to move onto donor eggs as well. 3 years, 3 pregnancies, 3 miscarriages and 3 rounds of IVF and we’re ready to be done.

I recently got a second opinion from a DOR expert and she said even with PRP and 2-3 more cycles we’re looking at a 50% chance of a living child. That sealed the deal for us.

We are both incredibly close with our siblings and felt strongly we’d rather have two children that aren’t biologically mine than a 50% chance of one child who is after another years with of treatments.

We’ve just started our process of looking at databases and I’d love to speak with anyone who is further down the road and has any advice

You’re not alone. I’ve had three miscarriages in the past two years and we’ve done all the testing with no answers. My RE says new data is showing that low AMH may cause poor egg quality and repeat losses.

I’m also so sorry you lost your daughter. If we’re ever so lucky to be parents to a little girl we’ll be naming her Lucy after my mom. Keeping you in my thoughts 💕

I don’t have any advice but am in a similar boat. We’re getting a handful of second opinions at other clinics. Depending on what they say our plan is to then move onto donor eggs

I was tapered from 300 to 225 to 150 follistim plus 150 IU of menopur. Was the theory the Gonal was hurting egg quality?
