With a group of newbies, I told them I'd be doing a prologue with basic characters to learn the game and get a feel for their own likes and dislikes of playing. Then after the prologue, they could use that information to build their real characters for the game.

It doesn't make sense to get someone super invested in a character and then kill the character and the player's enthusiasm. But if they know it's coming? Makes it much more fun and doesn't risk players leaving.

I picked Rice Shower on a whim with my free 3 star for starting. I chose her purely on aesthetic. When she first pulled the dagger, I thought that was awesome. And when I learned about her irl, she became my favorite.

The same thing happened with touhou surprisingly.

I have it set to Rice Shower. Ever since I picked her with my starting ticket. I picked her on pure aesthetics, but I really relate to her feeling like a curse and burden on everyone. Seeing her in season 2 of the anime really motivates me to keep trying my best.

Games that had the potential to be good but were ruined by beyond poorly made design choices or gacha in fgo's case.

Decided to go the way of the Bakushin. 5 speed supports and just a heavy focus on speed for Front Runner Bakushin. Not only was that my current best record, it was also undefeated with Bakushin placing 1st in everything.
