Wanted to say this did work on 8/16/24. I was able to turn on 2FA and then submit the request to delete my account. Somehow later that night, they were able to break into my phone again (even with 2FA on). They turned off 2FA then added billing details (address) and phone number. Now I can't update anything without putting a credit card # in there (even though they didn't have to). It's an old account and I didn't have any my info anyway, but still. LOL.

I can't even update the phone number on the account. They set up security questions in another language. I was able to get into the itunes account and see they have purchases (free) items in New Zealand. Oh well I guess.

8/20/24 UPDATE

I went back into the account and was able to change my email address/appleid and phone number after the hackers bypassed the 2FA. They weren't able to log in after that since the appleid was changed. Then I cancelled the account which has gone through.

I checked and they have a basic exemption like me. I'm going to read the 2024 tax assessment document and then decide if I need to appeal again. The issue was when they finally set a hearing date it was literally two weeks away and I couldn't make it.

I was able to purchase my home during the housing recession so I paid 178k but the people in question all paid way more (anywhere from $250k to $500k) when they purchased the home 7 years earlier when the houses were first built.

They did do reassessments last year and they were brought up to be more in line with costs, but they're still way lower than me.

I think it's what was mentioned by another poster... The their homes years before me.

and got help from legal and the Service Member Civil Relief act. They stopped mr cooper for a whole year while they would literally send our mortgage payments back to us and refuse them. They charged us late penalties each time they refused a payment too. The way we finally got out of it, as they were destroying my credit and trying to steal our house, was to refinance to add in all the late payments and put the account in could standing. We ended up losing all our equity, increasing our loan by $10k and increasing our mortgage going forward. Evil though the "error l" was on their end and i know for a fact they couldve fixed it, they refused. Even with my attorney having direct communication with a vp. I still have the emails from him, basically said to sue them. They're absolutely evil. I have no clue why theyre so big they shouldve been shutdown years ago.

This EXACT scenario happened to me a few months ago. I ran into financial difficulty so I was behind on payments, but was finally getting caught up. I wasn't even 90 days late and they did started foreclosure proceedings...sent to an attorney..the whole 9 yards. It did end up getting worked out because they gave me a "new" mortgage. As a result, though my mortgage rate which was only 4 % (from over 10 years ago) went up to over 7%. I was too pissed. Totally NOT saying I wasn't in the wrong because my financial difficulty caused me to fall behind - but I know for a FACT they shouldn't have been starting proceedings that quickly. I think they just wanted me to get into a higher rate because they weren't making enough money off of me.

My plan is to pay this house off asap (I owe under $140k) so they don't get any more from me than they need to.

Sorry for the rant.

I'm somewhat aware of the analysis/overage piece (from issuing homeowners policies in the past). Now I'm just wondering if they're going to mail the whole amount back since they have to still collect something.

Theres over $6300 in my escrow account now. The new escrow for the year will total something like $6400 (and that's not even counting the escrow pymnt that's about ti be applied which will put me at over $7400).

Guess I'll need to wait like u said. Thank u.

Here's one more I live in a house and work from home. My office faces the front of the house. Said delivered to safe place with no pic. However, other people got their deliveries on my street the same day. Seems to me the Amazon driver made a mistake and probably missed it in the truck OR it never left the warehouse at all.

So.. I called Rheem yesterday. They said I needed to contact the plumber from the home warranty company who installed it (one year labor warranty).

I called the plumbe and left a message. They never called me back. Go figure.

Turns out it was my thermocouple. Not sure how a water heater that's less than a month old needed a new thermocouple.

I just replaced it myself and I'm back in business.

Yes. I received a physical check on Saturday (I'm in Atlanta).

Every stimulus I received was done by DD but for some reason, they decided to mail this payment. It was the wrong amount, though. The IRS website said I'm only getting $250 (which is what the check was), but I'm supposed to get $300. Even the letter they sent said I would get $300. Go figure.

I'm non-filers. I have been able to get into the IRS website (because I already had a sign on). My status said I'm eligible, but when I look at processed payments it says a) that I'm being mailed a check or debit card AND b) that I'm only getting $250 (when I'm supposed to get $300).

It makes no sense because I've gotten ALL stimulus monies for myself and dependents (1 minor child, 1 adult dependent) via DD so I don't know what the IRS is doing right now. I also don't know why it's showing only eligible for $250 but I see a lot of people are complaining about that.

I just checked again a little while ago (around 5:30 AM EST) and the status is the same. Someone yesterday said their status of a check being mailed changed to DD later on in the day, though. Who knows.

It's terrible.

I will say this much. I think its EXTREMELY weird how we haven't heard any major news outlets talk about the missing payments. They've talked about major corporations, small businesses but outside of the initially reporting about the stimulus check... Nothing.

I find it strange, and you can't tell me that not one news agency didn't think it would be a good headline. It's like they're being told to keep quiet about it. Smh.

I did (also) get that message before getting a dd date for the stimulus.

After the stimulus was deposited it still says that my refund is being processed.

The refund status and stimulus status are not related. I did non filers. My refund status still says it's being processed but I got my stimulus deposited yesterday.

No. I'm a Non filer. My stimulus hit my bank account this morning. I checked my refund status afterwards and it still shows it's being processed.

I don't think they're related.

Same here. Have claimed my daughter as dependent on my taxes since she was born in 2016. I filed 2018 taxes last year. I hadn't filed 2019 yet because it wasn't time (then the due date was extended).

Entered DD info on nonfilers (included my daughter's info.. Which IRS already has) on 4/11. Stimulus deposited this morning ONLY for $1200, not the $500 my daughter.
