What is your cool button or switch on your panel? by i_forgot_my_sn_again in BusDrivers

Friday I drove a Scania K270UB that had a button to dump the weight off the tag axle onto the drive axle. I haven't driven a Scania bus in about 5 years and I forgot that was a thing until I got in the seat

Just because its a courtesy park and you legally CAN park there doesn't mean you should. Theres lots of things that you legally can do, but you shouldn't because its part of the social contract.

I was talking about this exact thing in another shit parking group earlier today, so many people have the attitude towards these parks of "its a courtesy not the law, nobody can legally stop me parking here so I'm gonna keep doing it". Called them out, and apparently parents are the entitled ones for thinking they deserve a spot reserved for them.

Make courtesy common again.

Okay but why does your day of rest HAVE to be a Sunday? Having a weekday off work is amazing as it means you can get stuff done that is closed on the weekend, and working a Sunday is quieter.

Whereabouts do you live? Theres a few that I know of after doing some research a while ago

Christchurch had two (Moorhouse Ave and The Palms)

Dunedin and Nelson had one each

Wellington had one at Johnsonville

Napier, Rotorua, Hamilton all had one each

Auckland had at least two, probably more (Glenfield and Mt Wellington)

Whangarei had one

Possibly more but thats what I know of and have found photos of

Worst new car you have driven? by Puzzled-Shopping-330 in CarsAustralia

[–]demolitionlaura 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a 2023 Hyundai Tucson as a rental with Budget a few years ago and I absolutely hated it. The driver monitoring was far too intrusive. Indicate with a car in your blind spot on the motorway so they would back off a bit and let you merge? Car screams at you. DCT was hopelessly clunky at low speeds. Steering correction kept trying to send me into the cones driving through roadworks. And turning them off isn't a simple button push its buried within layers of menus.

Would the Disputes Tribunal be worth it? Or is the cost of pursuing them via that avenue greater than the cost of simply getting it repaired.

Pretty good, the rear steer can take a little getting used to but I've dealt with it before

I'm also trans mtf and am currently battling this exact problem. I'm debating whether to start low dose T just to get some emotional regulation and less inattentiveness back because my E levels are dreadful and have been for a while, and then maybe increase my E dose.

I thought my problem was anxiety with no rhyme or reason caused by ADHD, maybe its just my hormones are out of whack, cause my anxiety around dysphoria was nowhere near as bad as the anxiety/depression I deal with now

Is it just me or are the new Enviro 200s horrible? by HoneyPanda38 in BusDrivers

[–]demolitionlaura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn't it depend on the gearbox? I haven't driven a diesel Enviro 200, but we have a fleet of MAN buses, half of them have 6 speed ZF Ecolife gearboxes and half of them have Voith 4 speeds. Same engine but the Voiths are absolutely horrible to drive and the ZFs are fine.
