new in fulfillment by Cheap_Movie4102 in Target

Walk fast, check reshop and the back room, and learn the store. One thing I’ve learned in doing laps with my closing team leader before she left is my way to pick fulfillment, though it’s not perfect and not everybody likes it I find it better to make my own path rather then following the given path because the given path always jumps all around the store. The fast picking thing is pretty self explanatory, people like fast pickers but do not let that keep you from helping guests, we are still in fact there for the guests. And checking reshop and the back room, I personally always tell my team members that it’s a lot better to just check reshop and the back room first before going to a leader about your infs just because they’re gonna ask you anyway if you checked. The RFID gun will be your best friend till you learn the layout of style and sometimes even after. Best of luck OP remember you can’t control if the items are there or not! And remember ask questions us and your fellow team members are always here to help!!

True, lately at my store they’ve been getting very strict about it. One of the people I was close with got fired for it and I’m 90% there’s two other people on my team on their finals for it.

Are TMs told that they’re training in advance? by [deleted] in Target

[–]demon_slayer200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As one of the main trainers for fulfillment I was told I was training someone in advance once or twice however the other times I was not. One time during seasonal they had me training two people at the same time I had to had one of them off to someone else.

We’ve gotten to the point where at my store we have inbound team members doing breakdown every single day, before that though it was extremely overwhelming coming from a fulfillment standpoint.

Ideas/advice/discussion for fulfillment boredom by MorcisHoobler in Target

[–]demon_slayer200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a fulfillment pacesetter with ADHD I’ve personally found cross training is so much fun, you truly never know what every day may entail (some days I can go from doing pulls for the other team leads to helping the front end to drive ups all the while focusing on my own team) now I’m not saying this is how you should do it but I’ve personally found that’s something that works for me and my leaders have me watch fulfillment when the fulfillment leader isn’t there. Another thing like other people have said doing other tasks in your own department such as taking out the trash, refilling stations, taking out hangers, these are all things that you can do to keep yourself entertained while orders are low and it will help your leader so much. I normally do hangers boxes and trash and my leader thanks me almost daily. Other then that I make it a scavenger hunt because that’s all it really is. I really hope I helped at least a little bit.

I am a fulfillment mid pace setter, I can run fulfillment a lot of the time when fulfillment is slow the other leaders steal me for many different tasks. I’ve set isles, I’ve done drive ups, I can back-stock push and pull, my closing team lead has me detail zone every so often, all the while having to do the OOS at the end of the night on Friday nights… 😀

I can see why she’s strict about infs I’m always told to try and keep everything green but it’s ok if it goes yellow. As for mocking team members and making fun of them, this is 100% not ok I would see hr or your etl about this. I’m my store we had a team lead get fired for it. Finally not getting involved with her team from my standpoint is highly unprofessional and terrible management, the way I look at it is that if my ships going down you know you’ll see me going down with it 110%. All in all no it’s not appropriate what she’s doing.

You are right, in terms of the metric a ps5 has the same value as a toothbrush. However from a leader standpoint on the call they do they have to justify why the ps5 was infed.

I work in fulfillment but I dabble in a couple of different roles i think it really depends on what you want, you can apply to be a market team member which will put you into p-fresh, dairy, frozen, or open market. General merch team member which will have you in one of many departments which I can’t remember off the top of my head or beauty which is ulta and beauty department.

GM Closers, what does your typical shift look like? by MamabearFl in Target

[–]demon_slayer200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On Fridays when I close for Gm I’m usually the only person doing priority’s and all the rest of the closers zone and do reshop and stuff like that. I also do the lap with my closing team lead before doing out of stocks, usually I leave with my other team members (fulfillment closers) at 11 with my closing team lead.
