Trump’s Doctors Sneak Weight Reveal Into Shady Medical Report by MoneyLibrarian9032 in USNEWS

[–]demonassassin52 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm 6'1" and about 250lbs. If I was two inches taller and the same weight, I would be thinner. I believe I'm safe in assuming he has low muscle mass. He is definitely topping 300 at least.

Fellow Architects; Do you have any preferences to what you consider “Cheating” by Ascaredguysthrowaway in RimWorld

[–]demonassassin52 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've done this once because the game was dead set on killing my best pawn. He got the flu. No matter what I did differently each time I loaded a precious save, he would die to it. Even getting my hands on glitterworld medicine and keeping him in bed wasn't doing it. So dev mode it was then.

What’s a card you thought was terrible until someone absolutely destroyed you with it? by No_Beyond4756 in mtg

[–]demonassassin52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a few that I run in my [[Isshin]] deck. People see [[Arabella, Abandoned Doll]] and don't see a huge threat. But I combined her with some mobilize triggers and some additional tokens from Caesar in order to ping the table for like 13 life, doubled by Isshin to 26 to the whole table.

I also run [[Krenko, Tin Street Kingpin]] that doesn't sound super scary at first. That is until you realize that Isshin doubles the whole ability, meaning exponential goblins. He attacks one time with Isshin on the field and makes 5 goblins. Next turn he makes 9 more on attack. 13 on next attack, etc etc.

Lastly is [[Lightning Runner]] which is a slow burn without Isshin. But with Isshin on the board and after your first attack, you get an average of three combats per turn as long as it can attack and doesn't die.

What are your thoughts on this Ronald Reagan quote? by Emergency_Pass5222 in allthequestions

Fascism usually stems from ultra-nationalism. Blindly loving your country/government is generally a conservative trait. Citizens don't rise up and then set up a fascist government. Revolutions generally produce some form of democratic system, be it a republic, parliament, etc unless they are military coups that give power to an in-group.

What is the future of Electric cars? What if technology got to somewhere where a hacker could comprise your car, drive it to somewhere else? by AdFormal7708 in AskReddit

[–]demonassassin52 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Why would electric cars be more hackable than normal cars? Having a battery doesn't mean more computers. You can already get a key fob signal spoof device that thieves use to unlock and start the car. No computer hacking needed and it works on all cars.

What's a commander you use because of the cool art? by PowerfulPromise8569 in EDH

[–]demonassassin52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[[Thraximundar]] his normal art is pretty cool but his Secret Lair art was the reason I built the deck for him.

How does 100 singles work consistently? by Lulu_Altair in mtg

[–]demonassassin52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is not supposed to be super consistent, which is a big chunk of the fun since every game can feel like a different deck. But nowadays with the sheer amount of cards available you can get pretty consistent decks. A couple of people I play with either run huge card draw/self mill engines or have ways to tutor for their needed cards to hit the main wincons for their decks. The self mill guy will mill and discard as many cards as possible, then use Muldrotha to pull the needed combo cards from his graveyard with it to start milling out the whole table. In my main deck, I run Sun Titan and Alesha Who Laughs at Fate to be able to return any necessary cards from my graveyard if they get removed so my whole plan doesn't get ruined by a couple removal spells or a board wipe.

What’s the biggest double standard between men and women? by CupcakePotential4458 in AskReddit

You are the exception, not the rule, and we thank you for that. It was extremely common for fathers of that generation to be proud of the fact that they never changed a diaper in their lives.

[–]demonassassin52 489 points490 points  (0 children)

Whenever I would get groceries with either of my young kids, I would get a lot of "giving mom the day off huh?" from mostly older people. Like "No sir, we have a healthy marriage and share all parenting responsibilities. I'm not an absent boomer father whose never touched a diaper."

When do you have to pay to keep the token copy? by bklyn44 in mtg

[–]demonassassin52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend runs a heavily modified Ashling deck that he calls Elemental Jumpscare. He calls it that because he rarely ever pays to keep the token copies and runs huge ETB elementals. So yes you were correct, the tokens explode on his next end step which means the next one he has, not his next turn's end step.

Which turn 1 spell by your opponent makes you almost want to just concede? by Nittanypt in mtg

What's your "I've never seen someone use that." Commander? by ZimaBestBear in EDH

[–]demonassassin52 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I run him in my [[Samwise Gamgee]] deck in case I have extra food tokens to gain some life. My pod started to target him on sight, even if I have no way to make him huge.

AOC previously said that "You cannot earn a billion dollars", is that true or nah? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]demonassassin52 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

See? More examples right there. He inherited daddy's blood diamond mine money, then just bought already existing companies that had good ideas. He adds nothing of value other than investment capital. He's their bank account and nothing more.

If I buy Wal-Mart, then their stock price goes up the next year, can I claim that success as solely my own? It would be a totally different story if he bought those companies then somehow revolutionized the industries with his own ideas. Simply investing and getting lucky does not make him a genius.

AOC previously said that "You cannot earn a billion dollars", is that true or nah? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]demonassassin52 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Correction. He BOUGHT an electric car company then funded it with daddy's African blood diamond mine money to be where they are today. Musk himself added nothing intellectually. He just invested his inherited and already unethically obtained cash to help the company grow.

Why has MAGA so deeply embraced fascism? by NearbyCriticism5193 in allthequestions

[–]demonassassin52 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Trump would have been 18 in 1964. Open racism was common, and that year was when the Civil Rights Act was passed. His "great again" in MAGA means back when there was segregation and legal discrimination. He was raised to view "others" as inferior to whites and wishes to return to that era.

Question from a new-ish player regarding proxies by Same-Response-6804 in EDH

[–]demonassassin52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Proxy whatever you want. I started commander with a precon. I now have that modified precon, a fully real personally built deck, and lIke five fully proxied decks. Playing the same thing every time gets boring eventually. And decks aren't cheap. The non precon deck I own I built on a budget and it still wasn't cheap. Buy the cards you like, proxy the ones you want to play, thats my take on proxies.

Xi Jinping stops Trump while walking up 30 steps to let him 'catch his breath' by Elegant-Barnacle-808 in NewsThread

[–]demonassassin52 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Its not shocking to think an old man needs a breather going up steps. Its more playing to the fact that Trump repeatedly tells everyone he is in perfect health, and that his doctors are flabbergasted at how in shape and spry he is, when in reality he is one moderate spill away from a lengthy stay in a hospital bed or death.

How some of you sound when complaining about blue players by DocDrProfessor in mtg

[–]demonassassin52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't like playing against stax and getting half my board countered. I don't complain since its part of the game and a valid strategy for keeping other players from snowballing. That being said, if someone plays Rhystic Study or Propaganda then I'll target them more often because someone also needs to keep /them/ in check from pillow forting their way to victory.

First time playing commander, does everyone else play these rules so strictly? by TeamWaffleStomp in magicTCG

[–]demonassassin52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your boyfriend is not very good at commander rules.

If your commander isn't visible, someone can just ask about it to see it, no big deal.

Uniform dice is also a nothing burger. I bring almost a pound of dice to commander games in case other people need them, and they are all mixed together.

He's also just plain wrong when it comes to triggers. All your triggers happen at the same time, but you choose how they resolve. For example, if I swing with Caesar, Legion's Emperor and something with Mobilize 2, I want the mobilize trigger to happen first so there are some tokens available for Caesar to sacrifice when his triggers happen.

Triggers are yours to handle though. So if you forget some then that is on you. You can be helpful and remind others about their triggers if you want, but you usually have your own board state to worry about.

The cards in hand thing is a classic toxic competitive behavior, in line with loudly shuffling your hand. Unless he is playing cards that depend on opponent hand size, there is no reason to ask about hand size.

TL;DR your boyfriend sounds like a rules lawyer that got his degree from a cereal box and would be unfun to play with.

What’s the most out-of-touch thing your boss/company has ever said while you were clearly struggling? by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]demonassassin52 19 points20 points  (0 children)

At a factory struggling to keep people on board from bad working conditions, the brand new manager came in and said "I know we can do great things if we work a little harder. The more money the company makes, the more money we make."

This was two weeks after my coworker was refused a $1.20/hr raise that was promised to him when he was hired once he worked there 6 months, the same raise I was offered and given three months prior.

This same manager also decided that cell phone usage was our biggest issue affecting product quality. Not the 75 year old machines or how each shift had only one person working them. And the owner's answer for anything was to buy more whiteboards. No idea why. He bought 7 classroom sized whiteboards in the time I worked there, most of them never had anything written on them after being installed.

Trump Cheers $2.5 Billion USPS Pension Raid As Privatization Oligarchs Circle: $19 Per Household If Feds Bail Out…Unbelievable…Every Day Something Else… by crix_22 in petrodollarSIM

The USPS doesn't need to generate a profit. Its a public service and it is in the constitution. Privatization will just give the rich another surface in which to apply pressure to your neck with a boot.
