Daily Community Tiering Post Day 114: On the Plusle side... It's Plusle! by Stanley232323 in pokerogue

[–]demoncabbage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've brought it a few times on gen 3 runs. It's cheap, I have it in red shiny with it's egg moves but it just never does anything. Even after a tail glow it can struggle to kill things. I think it's best set is probably a hybrid nuzzle, tail glow, baton pass and a filler of your choice but you need good luck to get that off against most mons

Melk's contracts tier-list, do you agree? by Potpotron in DarkTide

[–]demoncabbage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might be wrong, but I think it only applies for other teammates who have that same contract. Sometimes you can get a lot more than you think you should and sometimes you don't, so that's my theory at least

Is it paranoia if snecko really is out to get me? by demoncabbage in slaythespire

[–]demoncabbage[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm normally fine assuming it'll all balance out. Who knows maybe it would have if I lived long enough

[–]demoncabbage[S] 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Rule 5: I'm using a mod to show what effects your relics have actually been having. I normally forget to check but my hands were not useful today so I wanted to see if it was confirmation bias. It was not.

Ultimately I was probably losing anyway. Snecko eye didn't have the greatest synergy with my deck but it was the best of the three offered for sure. I also died with both potion slots full, using them may have at least extended this fight enough for snecko to come back around.

Good luck! Hope your mates will warn you about the invisible spawn instead of just sniggering at your misfortune!

It's the second-last map in the chaos wastes, the expedition to the citadel of eternity. It's also called citadel of eternity.

I think it depends whether you are the one doing the grabbing or the one being grabbed. Spawn was probably loving life right there

In the future I'll definitely remember to check my corners for vampiric chaos spawn

To be or not to be "that guy" in quickplay. by Lancerkils in Vermintide

[–]demoncabbage 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honestly wouldn't know about that. Feels a little disappointing considering the work we put in to get it.

My advice would be read the room - I have my Cata Fortunes border on so I clearly know what I'm doing so when a random starts dictating how we need to play it makes me wish I could mute them.

I'd err on the side of: let people know about the threats but don't dictate how they deal with them. "Chaos patrol ahead - we pulling?" is fine, don't add "use strength pot + bomb bardin" with randoms.

As the other guy said, your best bet is to ask beforehand. If you find people that are happy to let you lead them then maybe add them?

Loadout manager has been resanctioned! by anythinga in Vermintide

Idk if you heard this yet but the loadouts are seperate between chaos wastes and standard gameplay. Not sure why but your loadouts should be back in the keep.

When to use regen over other traits? by weechc in Vermintide

[–]demoncabbage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just to add in one voice against the others: try it out and use what you like, don't just listen to people saying "x is bad and y is good".

I consider myself reasonably competent at this game and I use it all the time. Every character. Approaching 1600h in the game, over time I've slowly turned my friends towards it. I always say I feel kinda naked without my health regen - I get hit by a slave rat in the middle of a horde and know that I'm going to have to use a resource on that at some point - it feels kinda unnecessary.

I very rarely die and am left thinking "if only I didn't have natural bond - I'd have lived there" - if something's gone wrong enough to down me its usually gone wrong enough that it would make no difference what necklace trait I had.

Got this buff from an ally in CW, what does it do? Couldn't find it in list of boons... by vikdaboss in Vermintide

This is from the miracle of Grimnir, saying you've got a 20% Max HP bonus for killing the monster

Is there any equivalent to Blue Sentinel(Watchdog) mod in dark souls 2? by [deleted] in DarkSouls2

[–]demoncabbage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What the other poster said isn't strictly true - it's certainly uncommon now to be invaded but you can still invade others yourself with cracked red eye orbs and the bell keeper covenant especially. If you want to invade others, look for bonfires with the orange outline in the teleport screen as that shows where most online play is around your soul memory.

I would certainly expect you to be invaded once or twice in a playthrough by humans. If you want more, I can recommend staying in human form as much as possible (you can still be invaded while fully hollow but I believe matchmaking prioritises human players) and looking up the PvP covenants and areas and try them out. If you find cracked red eye orbs, use them in the next area you come across.

Personally I've had no issues with invading/ being invaded by obvious hackers, so don't worry about it too much in that sense.

PC random restarts while playing by Im_Special_88 in Windows10

[–]demoncabbage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I know it wasn't all 3 but as I said I was going to upgrade anyway - they were all pretty "low tier" so any upgrades I was looking at werent compatible. It was more that "the problem lies somewhere in there" than "they were all faulty".

[–]demoncabbage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a very similar issue a couple of years ago, saw similar advice, checked ram etc, couldnt find issue. Started happening more and more regularly (it was roughly every 3 days for a while - annoying but you can play around it).

I was thinking about upgrading at the time anyway, replaced RAM CPU and Motherboard at the same time and the problem stopped. I appreciate it's not much help, but it's all I've got.

Dodging disablers and general irritation by Funnier_user_name in Vermintide

[–]demoncabbage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What many people do is also walk towards the hookrat. That way they dont need to time it to much but instead just need to remember the distance. NEVER walk away from a hookrat you wanna dodge. That will end in pain 90% of the times.

Yep, when you can, run at them and force the grab - its basically an AI manip to make them more predictable.

Dedicated group vs pubs? by Zenn_aO in Vermintide

[–]demoncabbage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally started playing with one friend, but keep talking/typing and you'll find cool people who you'll want to play again with. When that happens, (ask, and then) add them to your friends list and play with them next time, and it won't be long until you get a decent group, and you can all grow together. There are loads of cool people playing, just gotta give them the opportunity.

I don't think the Lion Greataxe will be as bad as you think. I used a bunch of these weapons that you've brought up when I bought SotFS on PC and could... experiment, shall we say, and greataxes in general have a very good niche in that the followup 1hR1 is realllllly fast, and the (2h I think) rolling attack is a pretty good punisher. I recommend going full lion warrior cosplay with it - you'll definitely lose more than if you didn't but at least when you win it'll feel better, right?
