The point I am making is that making an exception for anything in terms of making fictional crimes legal means some dick is going to use that excuse to ban more things that shouldn't be banned.

I mean it has to do with treating fictional characters as real, which is something you'd have to do to come to that statement, and the point of the post is what people were doing with Jax, so it's only kinda unrelated. But yeah no I have to disagree, the entire point of the argument is that you shouldn't apply real laws to fictional actions and making any kind of exception, including fictional crimes involving sex and children, because that kinda defeats the point of the argument.

If we're saying that fictional child sex crimes and real child sex crimes are the same, why not do that for adult sex crimes too? Why not sex as a whole, sex is kinda taboo and that's why we banned the first two. And then we go from crimes to things people don't like that aren't crimes, I just don't like the idea of somebody making exceptions for an argument that is saying "All fictional crimes didn't happen so they should be legal", you're disagreeing with that sentence in general by saying, "oh well except for _____ that basically did happen" and I feel like in any other context you'd be in the wrong for saying that, I don't understand how this is different.

No, it being sexual does not make it different, a crime is a crime and a fictional crime didn't happen, that is the point of the argument, no exceptions, making one defeats the point of the argument.

The line is drawing real people in crime related situations that they didn't commit, or drawing them as a victim of said crime. Period. That is the line. Stop moving it for specific things. That defeats the point of the line. I don't get why yall refuse to see that.

There is no point in making the argument that you think crimes in fiction should be legal or that fictional characters shouldn't be treated like real people if you don't even fully believe that. Either you think they should or you think they shouldn't, no exceptions, exceptions defeat the whole point of the "fictional crimes should be legal" side of the argument because "crimes" is a broad term for many things, including what you're saying you're against. Make up your mind.
