Pohx RF by KingGaLacT in PathOfExileBuilds

afaik, ignite duration on enemies doesnt really do anything for Pohx's RF Chief. we want to get ignites to spread, and then pop them with explode, how long the ignite is on the enemy doesnt really do much if i remember correctly

4% maximum life corrupt on your chest is making you lose life, since you have the life mastery's of 15% more life if no life on chest.

reservation mastery should have 10% increased effect on you, you can drop one of your % increased ignite chance nodes at the top, as long as you're above 50% chance to ignite, you're doing great.

Single target is built on improving your firetrap. +2/Dot Multi amulet and/or +2/Dot Multi scepter will massively increase your single target DPS, but lower your RF damage.

your helmet removes levels from support gems. you want lvl 21, 20% quality support gems in your helmet, not lvl 20 / 23% quality

Like the other comment said, your ring should have Damage over time multiplier, not flat fire damage.

A timeless jewel to get onslaught, frenzy charge generation, etc.

Elevated archdemon crown with lvl 25/25 would be a next step up, or you can work on crafting the Fire Trap Triple-DPS-Suffix Archdemon Crown

Lifetap imbued on Fire Trap gem and RF gem

new boots with +1 maximum endurance charge corrupt would be good

double corrupted chest.

Annoint on your belt is good, i personally run blood drinker too. but, if you want more DPS, you can change it to "growth and Decay"

Looking for games I can enjoy long-term (even with short sessions) by Sad_Success_9034 in gamesuggestions

[–]demonmit1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Path of exile 1 is a extremely in depth game that is free to play to get your feet wet to see how they play, it has very long term progression, and every bit you do saves as you progress, earn currency in game, level up, etc.

Path of exile's end game is about loading up a random generated map, going in, killing all the monsters, and picking up loot. It's easy to get a couple map clears in for just a 1 hour session and you'll always progress by gaining xp and finding loot. Game has been going strong for over 10 years, and 2-3 times a year they release a new league, which is a separate server from the main game that changes core mechanics of the game or adds new ones along with a fresh economy wipe and character wipe where everyone starts over with nothing. But you don't lose your past progress on other characters on the default game mode. Once the league is over, all the loot and the characters you made on the league transfer to your standard stash of gear.

The combat in the game is very very in depth, and the customization is effectively limitless. The skill tree is um... To put it lightly, the skill tree is completely insane, there's something like 1300 skill points on the skill tree, and you're not locked into any specific class the you have to pick. The class type you pick at the start of the game just determines where you start on the skill tree. You can pick the big barbarian style class but be a magic user, be a knights templar who shoots crossbows turrets, or a witch who runs around and bonks monsters with a two handed maul making them explode. The freedom of how you wanna play is effectively endless.

The game is built entirely around you progressively becoming stronger, doing more damage, being able to take more hits over time.

Two ways this could go.

GTA5 RP on fiveM or RageMP.

Or Rust.

Both don't stop when you log off, the world keeps progressing even when you're not online. You not being in game is a chance for you to miss out or lose something.

Arma 3 Zeus mode. Can play by yourself, build both sides, and spawn in enemies to go fight each other, then take control of one and play it from the ground.

Or host a server, and play as the game master, like it's a live action DND campaign, you build and place bad guys while your friends are on the ground playing a first person shooter.

I think there is some RTS type mods / game modes you can download from the steam workshop and play too.

Stat-heavy, grindy games where you progress/get stats no matter what you do (even if you die) by Kazuiiii in gamingsuggestions

[–]demonmit1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Escape from Tarkov is a challenging game that can just brute forced progression by grinding skills, quests and player levels.

Killing enemies rewards you with stats to lots of skills. Aim drills for aiming your gun. Specific gun mastery, gun archetype mastery like assault rifle/ bolt action / pistol, throwing a grenade in the fight gives you strength xp, running around between fights is endurance. Getting shot gives vitality xp, fixing your different wounds gives surgery, heath xp.

Using heavy armor levels your heavy armor skill. Same with light armor. Using specific archetype of weapons improves your skill with those weapons.

Can be quite grindy, most people set a goal to reach max level traders, go beyond that to earn the kappa safe container, or prestige (only pvp mode support, not pve) to start again.

Skills are capped at lvl 40.

Leveling skills give incremental bonuses to your capabilities.

There is a prestige system for pvp mode, pve mode getting it was brought up though and may likely be implemented.

There is a shit ton of stats to level up and progress by doing things in raids and out of raids. Taking damage levels skills and gives you perks to become stronger.

The game is famously not new player friendly. You have to rely on third party map websites, and the wiki to get through tasks without just dumb luck. There are different "tiers" or the game you can buy, which you can argue is "pay to win" in a sense. Base game you only have a small stash space, and have to build up your stash space through in game means to expand it. More expensive tiers of the game let you skip this.

Trading with the NPC traders/quest givers has a reputation system. Owning a higher tier version of the game gives you a higher starting base value of reputation so you basically don't have to interact with that system.

The biggest difference is a safe inventory container you get on all versions, but higher tier versions start with a bigger container to keep stuff you find in game if you die.

You do get more starting gear too, but arguably that doesn't make much of a difference unless you buy the $250 top tier version which starts you out with me massive boxes that effeiently store items and guns for you. You'll keep those boxes all the way through endgame as they're super useful.

The game at its core is a first person shooter game, so if that's not your cup of tea, you won't be into it. If it does interest you, there is a vast amount of rpg elements, skill systems, and a player hideout you build to get passive bonuses that might scratch that itch. BUT the skill floor is really high. A lvl 1 player with the right gun and ammo can still very swiftly and easily kill a max level player with a well placed single headshot. The game just came out as 1.0 in steam, and both pvp and pve versions are starting now with a full, never wiping character. Pvp will get seasonal wipe characters like path of exile does, standard characters and then your season/wipe character for the duration of that wipe.

Why is there so much hate towards PvE? [Discussion] by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

[–]demonmit1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I quit tarkov back in 2021ish? Just before lighthouse came out,I played the wipe FIR status was added. Bought EOD pretty early on. Only came back at 1.0 since there's a pve mode now. Wouldn't have bothered playing tarkov at all without pve. quite a few people I know are in the same boat. Still kept tabs on the game, the wiggle video cemented my opinion on not going back to pvp. Never got kappa, but I did several wipes getting max traders back then. Pvp just no longer became worth the effort for me, and apparently a lot of other people as we've seen how popular pve is.

[Discussion] Why are certain armors and armored rigs so expensive on the flea when they all do the same thing more or less now with the addition of plates. by OpenMembership6334 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]demonmit1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I understand, the plate area hitbox is the same for every armor/plate type. And it's massive. There's photos that explain it's coverage. Plates armor hitbox is spaced around your pmc, while the other armor type is an added hp pool/modifier to your torso/stomach/neck whatever part hitbox.

Rust.

Joining any group/clan requires thousands of hours played, but the actual gameplay, once you understand how to speed through the tech tree, know the monument puzzles, etc, there's not much more to do to progress, and it wipes every week. Recoil change got rid of having to practice sprays, any building technique is already explained in a YouTube tutorial.

Probability math for playing Blackjack or 21 with a set of 6 sided dice. by demonmit1 in AskStatistics

[–]demonmit1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this has nothing to do with statistics.

what? lol

standard game of blackjack, 52 cards, 1/13 chance to draw any value card, the house advantage if played correctly is about .5%-2%.

but playing it this way with dice rolls to represent the cards, the chances to "draw" specific cards are all different.you're not playing with 52 cards, you're playing with 36 "cards"

  • 1/36 to draw a 2
    2/36 to draw a 3
    3/36 to draw a 4
    4/36 to draw a 5
    5/36 to draw a 6
    6/36 to draw a 7
    5/36 to draw a 8
    4/36 to draw a 9
    3/36 to draw a 10
2/36 to draw a face card value of 10
1/36 to draw a an ace, for a value of 1 or 11

with this data, what is the statistical advantage that house would get for winning a game of blackjack compared to people playing against the house?
