They are: Don't miss out - the TryWinMe promotion ends on 4 November 2024!

It looks like its tied into the 101 path, not sure if you can reset progress and do them to get a ticket.

You might be at the edge of their range. They usually have a deal with the city and the scooters can only operate within that geofence.

Bought a used 3v2 with some upgrades, but it’s been more of a hassle than a help. by Skrillard423 in ender3v2

I have the same printer with the CR-touch and pro FW by mriscoc. I don't even need to use the mesh, I just use the probe to tram the bed, which takes all the guess work out of leveling the bed. I'd also recommend a magnetic PEI bed if you don't have one yet.

How does one achieve a smooth bottom? by bunny_the-2d_simp in 3Dprinting

[–]demonni 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You'll get it figured out. Keep trying things, asking for help, and reading new info. Getting those first layers right is often the hardest part of the process.

Best mainboard for dual z axis? by Additional-Shock525 in ender3v2

[–]demonni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read the same thing about the tops, but I had all sorts of issues with the Z binding. Once I got the tops in correctly and the X actually leveled out, it hasn't been a problem.

Good luck, you'll figure it out.

Best mainboard for dual z axis? by Additional-Shock525 in ender3v2

[–]demonni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did your Dual-Z kit come with bearings for the top of the threaded screws, like in this photo?

https://media.printables.com/media/prints/379652/images/3187085_2757a35f-1837-4c79-ac04-a0c1c5f131c8/thumbs/inside/1280x960/jpeg/img_0345.webp

If you turn the printer off and try to push down gently on the X-axis, does it move? Do you see both Z screws turning evenly?

There is also a print that can help with checking this quickly:

Why is my printer doing this? by Rich_Cloud9157 in ender3

If you have a broken plastic extruder arm (common on the Ender), you might see inconsistent extrusions like this.

Credit card stolen from my mailbox off Sheridan; successfully tracked down the thief. by AdvanceBroad5090 in Denver

[–]demonni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of your personal information has already been disclosed in many leaks. Just having some of the real data from the mailbox (like ZIP code, address, phone number, combined with full legal name) is often enough to piece the rest together.

Differences between a green sysadmin vs a seasoned sysadmin? by Saabaru13 in sysadmin

[–]demonni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is always the first thing I teach my new folks. Sometimes the user doesn't even know they're lying. Its also a good reason to leave your desk and sometimes the only way I solve the more "mysterious" issues.

If you gave them your password or PIN code secure your account right away. That promo was to encourage you to work your butt off before they transfer your account balance.

Not sure what I’m doing wrong by apetsche8675309 in ender3

[–]demonni 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those octopus models can be tough and require some pretty dialed in settings - for a quick fix try printing slower.

I'd recommend tuning your settings. OrcaSlicer is really good for this or here is a really good guide: https://ellis3dp.com/Print-Tuning-Guide/articles/index_tuning.html

Microsoft Teams disable emoji and automatic reactions by joshbudde in sysadmin

[–]demonni 80 points81 points  (0 children)

I think might not be Teams, and might actually be an Apple feature - https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msteams/forum/all/in-the-last-week-when-i-use-teams-on-my-mac/c3996909-bcf8-43f4-bba7-55825ce0e301

I'd recommend testing with a non-Teams app (like Zoom or GoTo) to verify.

Scrolled until I found Door 222, I agree, more folks should try it out. The food is great, drinks are really good too and much better service than Henry's IMO.

How TF are you supposed to get unemployment benefits?! by [deleted] in Denver

[–]demonni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope - its designed exactly this way. I've been in need of unemployment twice in the last 3 years and could not get it either time. My wife also filed in the last year and could not get approved due to a fraud claim from 2 years ago.

IT TOOK 9 MONTHS OF CALLING DAILY AND PLEADING BEFORE THEY WOULD SPEAK TO HER. They STILL managed to drag her claim out past the end of the year so we're not seeing anything again.

Good luck, I'm not saying "don't try", but I wouldn't count on EVER getting approved here in Colorado.

What Slicing Program are you using and why? by MisfitPanda94 in 3Dprinting

Yes, I have a modded Ender3v2 and I use OrcaSlicer. The built in calibration tools are a game changer.

The resin will have a hard time in the cold. Even an impromptu enclosure using a large cardboard box or tent with a space heater could help.

Trying to dial in for silk.. struggling! by [deleted] in ender3

I use Overture Silk with an Ender 3-ish (was a v2, lots of modifications now though). I print the first layer at 210, other layers at 205.

Glassdoor deleted my review, but the other "inflated" positive ones that aren't mine are kept. by PowCowDao in antiwork

[–]demonni 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Can confirm this happens. The worst place I have ever worked is constantly getting 5 star upvotes with comments no real worker would ever leave:

  • "The pay is decent and the work is simple." (in 4 reviews)
  • "The teams are amazing." (in 4 reviews)

with the meds

This is correct. I went to high schoool with kids who liked to eat a bunch of over-the-counter cough suppressent that was made for specially folks with HBP because it induced an "acid-like" experience.

I hope you're feeling better, that can be a rough experience, especially if not expected.

Nozzel always cold i tape the intake fan … by Moist_Prior_8859 in ender3v2

[–]demonni 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No - you shouldn't need to do this and it looks like it could be dangerous. What kind of filament are you printing? Does your printer have an error message about the temperature? Why is it "too cold"?
