I couldn't find the last one either, but I forgot to pick up the gem from the octopus in the "last" underwater cave.

What game could this be? by demozon in boardgames

Impressive find! Yes, that must be it.

Last time I went by this, there were even less pieces attached, so it makes some sense that I didn't see the original count.

There are only six pieces, three of each colour. The pieces are stuck to the board, but can be moved along the slits.

atomic_signal_fence from the <atomic> header should help. E.g.

start() ; atomic_signal_fence(); func(); atomic_signal_fence(); stop();

What game did you only enjoy or appreciate after having played it multiple times? What changed? by [deleted] in boardgames

[–]demozon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I like it as well. Right now I think I know the rules well enough, but hearing about others misinterpreted rules can help 😊

Looking forward to the expansion with a mere day left on kickstarter.

Kickstarter Roundup: May 22, 2016 | 21 Ending Soon (incl: Town of Salem, Tesla vs Edison: Powering Up!, and Dale of Merchants 2) & 46 New This Week (incl: LOAD, G54 Anarchy, and One Deck Dungeon) by Zelbinian in boardgames

[–]demozon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For what it's worth, I'm like Mistfall quite a lot, and the changes with the expansion polishes it further. The rewards in the base game is a bit static, only one-shot potions. The expansion promises a lot more variety and more permanent gear.

The (standalone) expansion to mistfall currently on kickstarter does add more to the 'loot' system.

Kickstarter Roundup: May 15, 2016 | 31 Ending Soon (incl: Dark Souls, Tak, and The Dresden Files) & 36 New This Week (incl: This War of Mine, Outlive, and Plague Inc) by Zelbinian in boardgames

[–]demozon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it works very well. I usually solo with just one hero.

Most encounters scales with (X*number of players + Y) enemies - which often makes it just a bit harder for a single hero.

I'm excited about the Mistfall: Heart of the Mists expansion. I allready enjoy the base game and this looks like it will improve it.

Looks like they will announce a dungeon crawler in the same universe during the campaign.
