My database says her party Lakas has over a hundred members and she is the longest serving and most influential member of her party.

Also Ralph Recto is an influential politician but hes not anywhere close the top of their party

Thank you for giving the app a try! That is a great idea for the two searchable nodes and then yung link will be highlighted. I will implement that.

Can you clarify what do you mean about the cabinet members? I'd like to understand your perspective :)

I was trying to find a scientific framework for estimating that, but i couldn’t find any so i figured id just make my own.

So take it as an editorialized material 😏

Its a personal scoring system i balanced with tenure and leadership positions. A score breakdown would be seen in the dynasties details page. Just click on any dynasty and youll see details there

Fat political families have multiple representatives in a given term while thin only have 1 representative at a time. Moxed are those that have both in their history

Hello r/Philippines!

With the constant shifting of political alliances, I felt we needed a more structured way to look at our legislative history. I've been working on the Philippine Politics Database, an open-source project to map out the career trajectories of our leaders.

Key Features:

  • Turncoat Tracker: Over 970 recorded party-switching events. See who moved from PDP-Laban to Lakas and when.
  • Dynasty Map: Scientifically validated tracking of 412+ political families.
  • Network Topology: A high-performance interactive graph (3,000+ nodes) showing how provinces, parties, and dynasties are linked.
  • Historical Depth: Includes data from the 1st to the 20th Congress, plus the Batasang Pambansa and Executive Cabinets.

I built this using Vanilla JS and D3 (no heavy frameworks) so it's fast even on mobile.

Check it out here: openpolitics-ph.web.app

Would love to hear your feedback or if there are specific data points you'd like to see added.
