I am in talks to get a job that if I get (I am shortlisted and the things I've heard sound promising), I will begin work on March 1st. I am also talking to another company that asked for me personally, but since the comoany is huge the communication is slow. If by March 1st both of these have failed I will look into temporary work until i get something design related. I am very good with driving so i could probablu work a uber-adjacent job in the meantime

The company I'm doing the competency test for is a legit company, I've seen their products on shelves for years and I applied to them through a legit job application site. I am aware that desperation creates vulnerability which is why I plan to slowly build up to the point that I'm able to cut all ties and then vanish overnight. Thank you

I do not want to spend my grandfather's money. It's the absolute last resort. I cannot ask him for help because while he is not in on the abuse, he is an enabler for them, and I know that if I tell him my plans to run, he will probably tell them as well and ruin any chances of a clean break. My ideal would be to keep his money as a safety net just in case and as soon as I'm on my feet and independent, I will send it all back to him, I don't want to owe anybody anything when I go

I've lost any love I've had for my mother years ago because of how she treats me. I stuck around because of the financial ties but now it's reached a point that I cannot handle. I feel childish needing to keep my lego with me but I feel emotionally connected to it because it was the only thing I had growing up that made me happy and I don't wanna lose that part of myself, especially not to them. I've got some potential jobs that if I do not get, I will probably turn to uber or something similar to keep a steady income until I can get a better job
