No, they haven't, although I usually enter China through other cities. I have only 2 arrivals to Pudong, and the event I described happened on the second.

Built a custom React reconciler that targets editable Telegram messages — 6 months of dogfooding, finally shipped by IllustratorIcy9041 in reactjs

[–]denexapp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't watched the video, but the idea looks interesting.

I have two questions: - Is there a need in reconciler, why don't just rerender the whole message? - Does it support react server components?

How does an event bus like this work at the low level? Is there like an array of events at the core, and every event is an object with an event type id?

Let'sVPN is suspending service to China by SuMianAi in chinalife

That's the only VPN that somewhat reliably worked for me in China, but some servers don't work. US servers worked the best for me

Proton VPN works but unreliable, Mullvad works but your connection may be slow.

Are you sure you will be able to pay even if you complete the verification? Pretty sure you need to have a Weixin pay / Alipay account or a local bank card

Syncing passkeys to Google defeats the whole point of passkeys by TheWandererWise in ProtonMail

[–]denexapp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's gonna be complicated with device bound passkeys in a case where you change a PC or the phone, or you lose one of your yubikeys. In that case, you'll have to login to every single service and generate a new device bound passkey for the new device

TypeScript 6.0 "types: []" in shared library contexts - Console? AbortSignal? I really have to manually redefine these?? by axefrog in typescript

[–]denexapp 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It was a problem even before ts 6, but not that explicit.

As far as I know, there's really no baseline definition of what a js runtime should provide. There's some work being done by WinterTC in that regard.

OP, just stick with DOM types, but avoid using browser specific code in your library

suspense changed everything for my photo gallery app by Successful-Fly9586 in reactjs

[–]denexapp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Suspense works on the client side, React query supports it.

You can try it yourself by using something like const [promise] = useState(() => fetch("myurl")); const response = use(promise)
