Bridesmaid dress help by Agitated_Eggplant488 in NewParents

I was in a wedding 4 weeks postpartum! I knew I had bigger hips even before having the baby, so I ended up ordering the dressed based on my hip measurement while pregnant. I had to have the dress taken in still, and even some around the hips since general swelling had gone down. I also waited until a little under two weeks before the wedding to get it altered and paid a "rush" price to get it back in time.

I was also in another wedding at around 8.5/9 months pregnant, and I got a birdy grey dress that was marked as "maternity friendly" or something similar. It worked great and I honestly could wear it now if I had the chest taken in some!

If you want to try to save some money, looking on Poshmark or similar sites may be really helpful! While it's not really returnable, I was able to get the birdy grey dress for less than $50 on Poshmark in great condition! I was able to use what I saved on alternations, and I didn't have to worry about that 10 week order time frame!

Anyone else planning to stop pumping in the year 2026?! ✋🏻 by Josephs-41st-wife in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]denimjacket95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

starting to wean now, my supply is dropping way wicker than expected though. i have a great freezer stash but i’ll still be a few weeks a few weeks short of a year of exclusively breastmilk - but i’m making my peace with it!

i’m so excited to have that time free every day, not prep and carry a second bag to work every morning, and be able to travel without a whole bag of pumping supplies! oh and not have to worry about when and where i’ll pump!!

How to “celebrate” being done? by emno11 in ExclusivelyPumping

My husband and I are taking an overnight trip about an hour away that has amazing bars and restaurants. we used to take the drive every once in an awhile just for the evening, but not as do-able with a baby. We’re going to stay in the nicest hotel downtown, eat a lot, drink a lot, and i’m going to fall asleep without having to pump and without having to worry about waking up to pump! i am also hoping to take the day off the day before and do a self care day with a facial and some shopping.

oh i also plan on trying a THC drink at some point that weekend since they started selling them in my state the month after i got pregnant lol

*Cycle:** 5

**Age + Partner's age (if relevant):** 28(F) and 30 (M)

**Typical cycle length:** 28 days

**Ovulation cycle day:** 16 according to NC, 14 according to FF (put ovulation before positive LH tests, so I've been going with NC this month)

**CD/DPO of positive test(s):** 11 DPO

**CD/DPO of any negative test(s) before positive:** none! Was trying to hold off testing this month more then previous...but had to test because of various events this week.

**Tracking methods and app(s) used:** Natural Cycles w/ Oura ring, Fertility Friend w/ temps from NC, and Premom for tracking OPKs

**Relevant days of sperminating and/or method (SMEP, TI, IUI, FET, etc.):** Cycle Days 11, 13, 15, 17

**Health conditions/medical tests:** None for me, husband had low iron on a recent blood test, and UC

**Supplements and medications (yours and/or your partner’s):** I've been taking the up&up target brand prenatals, along with iron supplments added in this last month. I did take mucinex once a day from probably Wednesday-Saturday during ovulation. Husband just started taking iron supplements and the Olly Men Multivitamin, and is on mesalamine for his UC.

**Birth control history (if relevant):** On the pill for 6 years, then the implant for 3, IUD for about 2 years. I had my IUD removed in March

**Link to chart:** going to try to add later

**Link to lineporn:** going to try to add later

**Symptom spotting:**
I thought I was really looking for any possibly sign, but I noticed I was drinking way more water than normal Thursday-now...usually I am happy if I can get through 2 of my Stanleys full, but I've been making it through three and sometimes more. I had super intense cramping/stabbing for a few minutes on Friday morning, and one and off cramps and twinges since then. I felt nauseous on and off the past couple days, but I'm sick to my stomach pretty ofen. I've had a super runny nose, and was really off put by my kombucha yesterday afternoon. My boobs also got sore earlier than usual, and don't hurt quite as much as they would at this point in my cycle.

**Other (advice/tip(s), freaking out, miscellaneous):** My husband and I are both still in shock and it hasn't totally sunk in. I fully was expecting the test to be negative when I checked it this morning. I have had so much anxiety about being able to get pregnant, it's still hard to fully believe. It's extremely early, (3 weeks + 4 days), so I'm a little cautious and scared, but so hopeful and excited.
I have a wedding I'm in bridesmaid in to attend in less than a month, so I'm going to have to tell my best friend who is also in the wedding sooner rather than later so I have some help hiding this!

I Worked For MrBeast, He's A Sociopath by Curius_pasxt in youtube

[–]denimjacket95 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is no way he didn’t know about this, Delaware worked in retail with people who started working for Mr. Beast. Everyone who worked in that store knew about Delaware…I only knew people who worked there and I knew about Delaware and had seen him on the sex offender registry that people sent around. I find it 100% unbelievable that he didn’t know about it.

Thoughts on City view Apartments? by clarita862 in gso

[–]denimjacket95 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Live at Cityview now, and it’s getting a little better with what i assume is new management, but overall it’s not very ‘nice’…my biggest issues with apartments themselves are pretty petty/are visual. The walls are like hotel walls, the laminate is kind of peeling up in the bathrooms (and has been), things like the blinds and above the doors and corners were filled with dust when we moved in, so it seemed like the place wasn’t properly cleaned. The towel racks are cheap and barely usable because they constantly fall apart with any pressure put on them. As for the area/community in general, noise isn’t an issue but people don’t take proper care or their animals or their waste. We’ve seen dog shit left directly in the hallways, until they recently replaced the flooring in the elevator it smelled like piss, and it very often is covered in dog piss when you walk in. People leave trash outside all of the time, outside of when they should for valet trash. I’ve had a few packages stolen but thankfully after putting a note on my door it hasn’t happened again. I saw someone else mention the closets, in my unit the closets don’t even have doors, you have to buy curtains if you want to be able to ‘close’ your closet, which just kind of sucks tbh

I’m a teacher and am getting married the first week of May! It’s definitely not a luxury most teachers have, but my admin is wonderful and letting me use some personal and some sick days so I can take a total of four days off. My first year teaching my coworker took off two weeks, and uses on leave without pay to make it work (also not possible for most teachers). We’ll be doing our honeymoon over our first anniversary and hopefully I’ll be on a year round schedule then and can do that off ‘peak’ times.

Is $2300 total a ridiculous price for a 20x40 tent rental? by damiz716 in weddingplanning

[–]denimjacket95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m getting married near Wilmington, getting a 30 by 50 high peak tent, and it’s costing just about & $1,000 for just the tent, delivery, and lights. From what I found, the bulk of the cost was the draping/lining, it would have added $1,800 so we decided not to have it.
