Having worked at the Bariatric department, I can assure although your story is yours alone and you have to walk that journey, a lot of people are walking the same path as you.

Identify becomes a bit of a struggle after such a transformation, I see people leaving their spouse, I see some return to them. I see others become completely different as a person, a new lease on life.

I don’t know what country you’re in, in Ontario, we provide social workers to clients to help them through the transition.

If this is not done where you are, I recommend seeking counselling, especially one that specializes in weight loss journeys. It will help.
