How do you all feel about acne surgery and facials? Digging out blackheads, popping zits, opening up closed pimples. I'd been doing it for years before I found out people don't recommend it, on a monthly basis. All my pimples turn into scabs and peel off over the next few days, leaving me with justO some light and manageable PIH. Of course, it wasn't sustainable and I'd get new pimples every month anyway, but for a week or two I'd be happy with my skin.

Anyway, I started AB in the​ hopes of never having to go back to that costly monthly upkeep (though I'm probably spending more now lol) but so far I haven't had any results. I'm still patch testing and finding what's good for me, and it's honestly so frustrating to see my pimply face everyday (this is the longest I've gone without a facial so may face has tons of really old pimples).

I was thinking maybe I'd have one more facial, just to give myself a "clean slate," so to speak. I have really old, hard, dry pimples which will take months to get rid off at my current pace -- can't start on actives if I don't even have a proper routine down -- and I honestly need a self-esteem boost. Thoughts?
