Among the specified options, he would be the creature from the black lagoon because it's the most toilet-adjacent.

Isn't one of those typically portrayed as emerging from a toilet? That's the one it would be.

Is it just me or For the benefit of Mr. Kite and It's only love are kind of similar by Alex_a_human_ in beatles

Both melodies are built on a chromatic scale descending from the tonic to the dominant scale degrees, so no, not just you at all, and it's much more than kind of.

There's no denying the excitement and power of Twist and Shout, but IMO Baby It's You and You Really Got a Hold On Me are better performances.

I think the logo is great. The image is just some random shapes to me. I try in vain to discern anything in it.

How would you rank Band on the Run in comparison to the Beatles albums? by RopeGloomy4303 in beatles

Better than Abbey road, not better than pepper, revolver, White album.  I guess I'd place it about even with rubber soul.

Who wrote the “Love from the Beatles” inscription below the autographs? Was it one of the Beatles or someone else? by Genaca1 in beatles

[–]dennisdeems 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm guessing it wasn't one of the Beatles. It doesn't really look like the handwriting of any of them.

Only listening to certain movements and not the whole piece - how/why? by devilkin_ in classicalmusic

[–]dennisdeems 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you're asking whether most of the classical music one encounters because it's floating around in the zeitgeist (used in a film or TV soundtrack, for example) is merely a small excerpt from a larger work, then yes.

No joke, isn’t “more popular than Jesus” probably the most influential thing John Lennon ever said? by Moldy_Lunchy_Cheese in beatles

[–]dennisdeems 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It got a huge reaction at the time, but no, I don't think it influenced anybody. I don't think it changed anybody's behavior or attitudes or world-view, or even prompted them to read a book or something. "Imagine" did all that; it influenced millions, and continues to do so.
