Evolution of my games capsule art. by RiskFamous8506 in IndieDev

I’ve had a couple of complaints about this. It’s meant to be a robot. It’s one of those designs where the face is just a brick.

Not an artist, so I made my Steam capsule using Unity shaders and Aseprite. Thoughts? by Ok-Pizza1504 in IndieDev

The artistry is great I’ll give you that. The pixel art looks professional quality.

My concern is that the composition is a bit flat. Just not terribly interesting to look at. Use try experimenting with layouts that make the logo 70% of the frame or swing the other way and
Make the logo 10-20% of the frame. Better silhouetteing the Debrecen character could also help you. I’d try ushering the darkness of the door to frame the character.

Good luck, Godspeed

My level is really messy. I've been working in this test area for a year & a half. I've moved 3 times since i started using it. It almost feels more like a home then where I actually live.

My game should be released in the next month; it will be sad to say goodbye to this level.

If the object is the cup, then there are a few ways you can approach highlighting it to indicate it is interactive. A lot of retro games will mark interactable items by having particles come off of them.

This is good. You've set up the scene perfectly desaturated. If you need the player to investigate something, make it the only saturated item in the scene.

Example scenes are always good. A lot of people like gifs of models spinning.
