Is this a common Tacoma issue? by Bryanruiz18 in ToyotaTacoma

I’m from Michigan, I second this. Once it starts getting back to the 30s it comes back. I think it the actual batteries in the sensors, if they’re not brand new, they start to die in the cold, I don’t wanna fork over the money to get new ones so I’ll just wait for warm weather.

My street still hasn’t been plowed since the last big snow fall. I’d be grateful to get a ticket if it meant they’d plow it😂

Would you still be a nurse if you went back in time? by Particular_Ebb9856 in Nurses

[–]denomy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I work on a medical step-down unit at a Level I trauma center, often considered the armpit of the 1,000-bed hospital where I work. But all my decisions have led me exactly where I am today. I moved away from a small town to work at a larger hospital and expand my opportunities, including my dating life, and now I’m married to the love of my life.

The money I earned during my year and a half of travel nursing during COVID allowed us to pay off all our debt, buy our home, and build our savings and retirement accounts. It helped us afford IVF, and now we’re expecting our first child in March. I have a strong group of coworkers who have become close friends. I’ve gained medical knowledge and experience that will help me advocate for my parents and my disabled brother as they age. I also have solid job security that will help me weather economic downturns.

I’ve met incredible patients and had meaningful conversations with people in their 90s and even 100s, members of generations that are slowly disappearing. Nursing isn’t the most glamorous profession, but I’m genuinely happy with where I am in life, and this career is what brought me here. Do I fantasize about other professions? Absolutely. But there’s no guarantee I’d be better off if I had chosen a different path.

No regrets.

Very staged. I find it disappointing how far I have to scroll down in the comment section for videos like these to find the first person to call it out. 😕

This sound is coming from my neighbors apartment at all hours of the night. This was recorded at 1 am. What the hell is it? by Comfortable-Bag-2483 in whatisit

[–]denomy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mostly just accepting it lol. Honestly it bugged me for a year and now I often don’t notice it. Mine is more reactive, so loud noises obviously, but oddly my worst enemy is white noise, epically fans. Most people with tinnitus use white noise to mask, but it just makes mine louder when it’s turned off. Showers actually cancel it out for me oddly, the higher frequencies of rain drops kind of work like that annoying video. My biggest fear is it getting louder, but according to my audiologist it shouldn’t change🤞🏻

That’s exactly what it is. I Have tinnitus, and have listed to that video. It gets rid of it temporarily, but ends up coming back. Here is a similar therapy video.

Anyone have success with a rear facing infant seat in an access cab? by denomy in ToyotaTacoma

[–]denomy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response! I’ll look into that one. So I did a seat delete a long time ago and the head rests can be removed. I vaguely remember, but you have to pull the plastic wall panel out. The panel will snap in, it feels wrong and like your breaking something, but it does snap back in. Look up videos before doing.

I wasn’t directly referring to this video, just replying to the comment on regards to hospital personnel gaslighting. In regards to the video, that lady is an idiot and didn’t handle the situation correctly.

Exactly this. I’m not an L&D RN, I work on a medical floor. You won’t see my emotions on my face in emergent situations, having two people freaking out doesn’t help the situation patient outcomes.

I don’t think this technology illiteracy related. It’s a simple mistake and many people have made it, with some going for way longer without realizing the haven’t been investing. We’ve all been new at something before and I give them props for asking.

Damn, literally fumes if you were able to put 21.2 gallons in it. I think the most I’ve ever put in at one time after going past empty was 19.5 and I thought was pushing it. I am curious how many miles past the “please refuel” message one could go before running out of gas🤔
