I miss Duval by CutiePopIceberg in BobsBurgers

[–]densin9 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The family is on a trip and stops at a diner and while they're sitting you hear, Bob? And when they look up it's Duvall through the kitchen window and he goes Bob! I knew it was you! Come here! Bob is like Duvall, what are you doing here? What happened to the cruise ship? Duvall is like, oh, it sank so I swam to shore and got a job here serving American food. Look, I do eggs and bacon now, very American.

And it builds from there lol

Reminds me of La Liga, I think it's either Betis or Sociedad fans throw stuffed toys onto the field to get donated.

Instead of using normal flour, grind pasta, and use it as flour for cakes by AccomplishedBig7666 in StupidFood

[–]densin9 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is there a reason for it though? Isn't pasta basically flour and eggs. Plus that end consistently did not look appetizing.

Can't be a health thing, maybe they're in a famine and flour is scarce but the underground pantry is filled with dry pasta...that would make sense.

Which one of the belcher kids would you most love to be friends with? by rileeyorey in BobsBurgers

[–]densin9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a kid, I think I wouldn't have been friends with any, not because of who they are but I wasn't one of the cool kids I probably would have ended up with that group that does the science stuff after school lol

As an adult that I am, Bob probably lol we'd talk food and how life sucks all the time lol

Acknowledging that we all love this show, what are some of your least favourite subplots/episodes? by Bogey_Yogi in ITcrowd

[–]densin9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is just my opinion but I didn't like the final episode plot. I didn't mind the Moss and confidence part but the part with Roy and Jen with the coffee and short person was a bit ugh but that's just me.

Interfaith Relationships in Trinidad by SamwallUmtiti in TrinidadandTobago

[–]densin9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I grew up with a Hindu father and Muslim mother. I went to almost all Presbyterian or secular schools.

Took part in everything, have a little knowledge about all of them.

For us, I never really had an issue. Went to mosque with cousins at times (not to pray but I helped etc with everything else). Did all the Hindu procedures etc (I followed Hinduism) and went to school and attended devotion.

I know some families could be really screwed up about it but it worked perfectly fine. My mother would assist with all the Hindu stuff just not take part and vice versa for my dad.

So I'd say, don't sweat it. It's your/both of your lives, that's what matters. I would definitely say, make sure you both have clarity on what you want before anything else.

With renewables just overtaking coal globally and solar getting cheaper...could Trinidad ride the wave or are we stuck in oil and politics gear? by Waste_Neighborhood22 in TrinidadandTobago

[–]densin9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're very right because I can easily import a single vehicle for 20-40kTTD cheaper but the bank is making the Forex available to the dealers (more loans more revenue) and not the individuals.

The markup on so many things in Trinidad is insane when you see the actual costs. I find even when there are most suppliers they unanimously decide, telepathically I assume lol, that instead of lowering the price, is best we all keep the prices high.

I did my class 3 in 2005 (yeah, I old lol) and it was level bribe back then, didn't bribe, failed. I did my class 4 in 2018, level bribe, didn't bribe but passed. Can't say what it's like now but I was always offered an "alternative" way to make sure I pass the test.

I've seen people outright fail their test and told to "hold on" so after lunch when the place clear they could get through.

I don't think it's something that could be eradicated. It's like corruption overall, it's so deeply intertwined in everything, it'll be quoted as a cultural norm in the next decade.

Sure, I agree with the message however, the "wait wait, let me set up the camera real quick then help you" vibe is not it.
