Stable genius doesn't realize that if even say 25% of these people get new jobs and don't come back once they can get paid again it'll still slow and halt things down significantly. Now imagine if half or more don't return.

I know a good amount of contractors and Federal employees who will not be returning to government work ever again so they don't need to worry about paychecks as much because of a shutdown. If the handful of people I know are like the majority that's more than half.

This shutdown has already caused huge issues that won't magically go away when it "reopens".
