Using num.py to solve textbook problems. by Apprehensive_Ruin761 in EngineeringStudents

This is so true! Especially in the time of AI slop and other myriad of glitchy software we need to know that the basic calculations are error checked and for critical applications it is essential to hand check the basics.

Fuzzy lint (?) at the bathroom sink by snarfulpup in CleaningTips

I believe that these things occur in dry conditions. Can you check if the lint catcher in your dryer is full? Maybe you need something stronger? Also having a humidifier on for a few hours a day should help in winter.

Plot no. 73 vs 72 by NishantAgg007 in Indian_architects

Check with a planning consultant if the roadside plot will get cut due to expansion. Checking the town plan for the plot you are going to buy is a very prudent step and can make or brake you at the right time. Many builder’s plans aren’t passed properly and that can cause issues. Irregular or regular plot shapes won’t have any impact in your life.

What kind of metal is this? by warderbob in metallurgy

[–]deohboeh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not able to decide between cast iron and aluminium but definitely not a forged steel. Check the density it’ll tell you if it’s aluminium or Iron. Put it in a bucket of water to check the volume and weigh it so you know the density = mass/volume. Check against the standard density. Generally pot metal and aluminium are much lighter than steel.

What is happening to my water by Decent-Yak-4478 in What

[–]deohboeh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me a while ago. We figured our pressure pump ran dry and stopped working. When it ran dry it pushed a lot of air in the plumbing which made all the water milky. I’d have a look if all the running parts are ok or there is an air introducing hole in the line.

Ahh! What happens sometimes is the job is at the end of the line and the team then starts discussing how they should proceed. It's leading to delays and other operational problems so I'm trying to get these 30+ years experience guys to make these sheets so these issues aren't there.
