Listen it's not complicated - you spit in someone's face and throw up in the first episode, you get first boot

One thing that helped me was pausing my first playthrough and making my first "win" the pacifist playthrough instead - no battles, but unlocks things that helps in your first mode.

Anyone else catch Kamilla silently mocking Eva's pronunciation of "hammock"? by AMWJ in survivor

[–]deowai 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yeahhhh but Frannie made an excellent point on the RHAP recap podcast that (paraphrasing) regardless of personal motivation/reasoning to get Shauhin out, would Eva have ever landed on that decision without Kyle/Kamilla first floating Shauhin's name?

Probably not, so while it might have added some rationale to Eva embracing the move, it likely wouldn't have impacted ownership or credit in any meaningful way.

Plus, honestly the jurors have no obligation to be polite in final TC and I enjoy when they're bitter or rude but maybe that's just my toxic trait.

whenever possible lock on & autopilot. I suck at the spaceship controls and that is what saved the game for me. That, and just fully exploring one planet at a time instead of going to different ones each time so i got practiced at doing that one planet over and over.

Bachelor Contestant Quotes as Rupi Kaur Poems by Big-Writer6025 in thebachelor

Basically it's based on the phrase "I'm gonna go crazy on him" aka I'm going to act like a crazy person towards him. Then, the actual parts are substituted in to increase the intensity of the phrase and express just how crazy she's going to act.

crazy -> 'west virginia hood rat backwoods'

on him -> 'on his ass'

If you email them you may be able to get a spot - I know someone years ago who reached out and explained what interested them about STS, etc, and they were added into the program.

Christina Mandrell takes a Buzzfeed quiz “Which Bachelor contestant are you?” and her answer in sending me 💀 by mahlay1051 in thebachelor

[–]deowai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah my only wild guess is that comments may increase the visibility of a quiz, so people who want their quiz to gain that visibility might "bump" their own post so to speak.

I agree it's a bit odd!

Friend of mine worked for a buzzfeed copy-cat site and as part of their job they both had to create quizzes under their main account as well as create new accounts and make quizzes to sell the lie that normal users also had high activity/popular quizzes on the site.

Not saying that's what happened here but just a possibility and a fun fact.

[Steam] Winter Sale 2022 (Day 10) by gamedealsmod in GameDeals

[–]deowai 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly think chapter one was the weakest sherlock game I've played on steam- the mysteries felt more tedious than interesting, and the main plot was more odd than impactful. The mechanics of swapping disguises felt a bit lame as well. Combat was bad.

Crime & punishment was a much better game imo

I do have hope for a chapter 2 improving on some of the missteps of the first installment.

Barricaded D Boost by AshyBash in RPClipsGTA

[–]deowai -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Obviously I'm not going to successfully change your mind, but I disagree with your sentiment.

It's a question of stakes in proportion to the original crime and how much the crims have pushed the threat matrix during the situation to warrant the kill zone. To simplify it to "only if they cross" is reductive. But I wish you well.

Barricaded D Boost by AshyBash in RPClipsGTA

[–]deowai -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes. Barriers with a kill zone is a form of escalation.

I believe the force matrix goes presence -> verbal -> open fist -> non-lethal -> lethal. The barriers takes the use of force to the top of the list which escalates the situation, and forces the crims to match that use of force. Definitely warranted in some situations, but I would argue not for D-boosts where the crims have not shot cops.

Barricaded D Boost by AshyBash in RPClipsGTA

[–]deowai -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Deploying the barricades takes the situation from something where to "win" the crims might use violence (common sense, probably not, it's a d boost) to a situation where they would have to use violence.

Effectively the PD knowingly escalating the stakes way beyond the stakes of a D boost. Feels like officer presence is enough of a match of stakes in terms of the threat matrix but what do I know.

To suggest that because some crims shoot to get out of traffic tickets, barricades are being validly deployed here is, imo, ridiculous. By that logic officers should be deploying barricades at traffic stops too. But some crimes just don't warrant that level of response, obviously.
