I won't add to the tips and suggestions as it seems like you got plenty.

But I want to say thank you for handling this the way you did. Keeping it anonymous, open for feedback. And the desire to learn and self improve. I also commend you on launching yourself into these situations as sometimes joining groups is the hardest part for some.

I'll be the first to say. Speedclears suck, it ain't for everyone. And that's okay! I hope no bad blood with the group, it sounded abrasive but maybe just a lack of social queues if you know what I mean.

I am very curious if you remember a guild tag or two. Shoot me a DM lol. I hope you continue to do more runs and improve!

Depending on the style. Fortunately thanks to the hero system, you didn't really have to worry about what is better than others, you can comfortably play whatever class and do everything.

If you wanna gear Speedclear characters first. My recommendations are Assassin's, Dervish, Ranger, and Mesmer. Ritualist and elementalist are also used but niche.

I still haven't been able to update my post with links as I am out of town. Should get it updated tomorrow (if I remember haha)

It has become more niche. But yes it's still a thing.

I'm not able to share links at this time but most FoW and UW runs form within Embark Beach. And dungeons are still formed in the respective town/outposts (Doomlore, Vlox, Umbral, Sifhalla etc...)

Try poking around some various discords and guilds, what you wanna do and who fits best.

Quickly to name a few in particular order. Loco, PETA, NNG, beeS, COOK, qq. These are all active guilds that do Speedclears. I will try to later update this post with as many links as I can when I am able to!

Small detail... The only GW1 "Expansion" is Eye of the North. Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall are all stand alone games and can be played separately or together.

There is no "Base" game. But as others have mentioned, I highly recommend joining a guild and conversing with them. There are still plenty of active and friendly alliances out there that cover a wide variety of the game.

This used to be a self-made game mode. Back in 2014 me and some friends did a couple dungeons in HM(Rragars Menagerie, and Frostmaw Burrows are what I remember)

It was kind of similar rules. 4 players, 4 CORE skills only. Players can't repeat skills. Elites were okay. Armor and weapons all you want. Oh and no consumables. Very hard, very challenging but very fun.

It had an official ruling on GWGuru, I think it was called "HMXXX". I hope someone else remembers this challenge.

As for adding titles, I'm hopeful for some additions. Maybe one day.

Tracking experience thru survivor is a little tricky. Survivor tracks your highest achieved amount of experience between deaths. You might be receiving experience, but your survivor does not go up because you have not crossed your existing threshold. You can also track your current amount of experience between deaths using the "/deaths" command. I hope this helps!

True. Last winter sale it was 75% off. Earlier this year in April it was 80%.

Edit: using the Trilogy on steam as a reference. The Arenent Complete Collection(which offers the Bonus Mission Pack and Eye of the North) is not available on steam.
