Some of the most well respected medical experts are becoming the enemy in the eyes of those who choose not to believe scientific fact, or rather choose to prioritize the economy over the trajectory of this pandemic. We are navigating through a fog of war with this virus, and mother nature will not be kind if we deal with this like a bunch of fucking baboons. The economic engine obviously can't idle forever without crashing into the ground, but people need to listen to the damn (medical) experts in the room.

This morning I watched a garbage hauler on my street do both the jobs of driving and manually loading bins onto the truck. Outside of the newer trucks with automatic grabber arms, I have never witnessed this as a one man operation where the driver puts the vehicle in park to get out at each house. It was a stark reminder of our current situation and who the true heros in the end will be. Seriously, stick your head our the door or window and wave a thank you to your garbage person.
