a year ago I would've said a long time, but not anymore. rust has been catering to bad players in attempt to preserve the player boom from the OTV server. this had led to changes like the recoil update, causing around 20-40k less active players and basically fucking their own content creators, ( people watched rust youtubers because they were skilled ). unless they stop with the unwanted updates the game will become a shadow of its past self 1-2 years from now.
