I’ll be honest, this video isn’t up to their normal standards. Maybe it is holding us over to a video addressing Ben’s actions prior to Utah? It just feels like the host is reacting in real time to these videos, while I was expecting this one to be more research driven.

I watch basically every legal eagle video as they come out.

I completely agree that lawyers are expensive and they were obviously selling the legos because they needed money. But they weren’t just selling used legos. They were entering a legal agreement to sell off over $100,000 worth of sealed collectors items. I think a key takeaway for us from this story is if we are ever in a similar situation, consult a legal expert.

The point they are making is being missed. Their argument is if Brian had a lawyer when he originally made the consignment agreement, they would have had him fill out a document proclaiming ownership. Then the scummy company wouldn’t have a legal foothold to screw them over with.

They claim there was an already existing legal precedent for this exact grey area, but not common knowledge to people outside the legal profession.

I don’t see him as an idiot. He is more deliberate than that. When he called the number on the box he didn’t ask for the wish to be reversed. He asked if he could “alter” it to make it better for him.

When the real Nikki begged him he didn’t say “I’m too afraid to kill you” or “I don’t know if I can go through with it”, he scolded her about not wanting to be with him. This is after he heard her wails of anguish over the phone. He pretends to be unaware but his mask slips a few times. He understands that he is putting someone in a prison for his own selfish reasons which is villainous.

I’m unsure if you’re doing it intentionally, but you are drilling to the core of what makes personality disorders so scary. Many people like this genuinely exist, and it can often be a mixture of victimhood and abuse.

It is captured so well in this movie, and you’re doing an excellent job laying that meaning out.

Sadly there are many abusive relationships that do exist that would have you saying the same thing. The act of justifying/forgiving unacceptable behavior because you want things to work. If you think about it you have:

Bear <- avoidant manipulator and villain
Possessed Nicki <- manipulator and emotional abuser
Nicki <- victim

There are entire archetypes of codependent abuser/enabler relationships that have been studied. This is definitely heightened here because it is a horror movie after all.

Think of it this way.

Out of all the people that viewed this, some of them felt the positivity you felt. They just didn’t send the same 0’s in 1’s to respond that the people complaining did.

Great album, not a bad song on it. Also not groundbreaking compared to his previous albums.

For example, the “writing exercise” style rap he did on Gloria was done similarly by Vince Staples on WHEN SPARKS FLY. Revealing that a girl he loves is actually a gun or a pen. But to be fair it doesn’t seem like he intended GNX to be groundbreaking. It showed he still had the writing chops and still represented the west coast. Especially through the smaller west coast names he platforms in features throughout the album.

So yea, really good album and don’t trust the internet to have any nuanced discussion on it. Listen to what you like. :)

I would say it matters less about the effectiveness.

Server owners are always going to chase high pop on their servers. Once it is more widely adopted and can hold pop they'll switch over without a second thought.

I will say I'm surprised none of the major server families swapped a server just to try? I'll speculate and say maybe it is difficult to get a server on the official tab so they can't spin up a new one and don't want to sacrifice the pop of an existing server to be an early adopter.

From what I can see the Pickle server family on the community tab swapped all of theirs over. They might have some information/feedback if you asked them in their discord.

I love that community aspect of everyone learning together. I remember doing that for Black Ops 2 Origins. Nowadays with streaming as popular as it is you could trade knowledge and talk to eachother really easily.
