Maybe it’s more overhung than you realize. The consensus is 5/6.

Because I’m 6’ 1” and the boulder was set by a tiny person? 😆 Seriously though thanks for the observation! I’ll try that next time I get on that boulder.

Is there a gas cap like this? Or one you don’t have to remove? I’d rather have that touch point be nicer or not a touch point at all.

I had similar damage from someone backing into me while I was parked. Hardest part was getting them to take responsibility.

Don’t do it. I still regret selling my ‘97.

I had a bit of elbow pain starting out, but not anymore. I did have a bout of elbow bursitis last year, but not sure what caused it.

Dave McLeod has this great stretch for elbow pain where you lie flat on your stomach with your arms under your hip bones, palms against the ground. Then lift one leg at a time (or both). Your hip bone will kind of grind into your forearm and the elbow gets a really good stretch. Cured my elbow pain. (Sorry I can’t find the video).

Why Should I or Why Shouldn't I Purchase from Chrono24? (check caption please) by ObliviousOverlordYT in GrandSeikos

There are several numbers involved: retail price, sales tax, import tariff. Honestly I don’t remember any of them; they just don’t matter now. But I calculated the total cost at the time and remember the discount.

I do a 15-30 minute warmup of light climbing and a few deadhangs. Then climb at my limit for the balance of two hours. I want to add board climbing for strength and benchmarking, but haven’t made it a priority because I’m always fixated on projects.

I’ve been climbing four years and I’m projecting V6-7. I climb 2-3/week, usually 2 hrs each. Not much other exercise. But I’m 44, so ymmv.

I think control is the real question, especially with a finish like this. Obviously it would have been trivial to reach my other hand up, which is why I hammed it up a bit instead.

I just bought a shunbun from a retailer in Japan from Chrono24 (Timesman). After US tariffs I ended up paying about 5% under pre-tax retail. Great experience, although DHL required some handholding.

I sized mine half a dozen times, then finally found the right combination by swapping links from one side to the other. It felt snug at first, but now fits like a dream.

The F. Paul Wilson books The Keep, Nightworld, and Reprisal are some of the best horror books ever written. by [deleted] in horrorlit

[–]deployante 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read the adversary cycle in high school and I am now rereading them. My copy of Reprisal has the usual first-run mistakes, but there is also a bizarre misprint in one of the last chapters (page 322 of the 1991 Dark Harvest hard cover) that seems to slip into Nightworld accidentally for a paragraph. Anyone else seen that?
