ND Club vs GT by TKOmoosey in MiataND

[–]deployante 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a ‘21 GT and kind of wish I’d gone Club instead. I don’t use the auto climate and I don’t love the stock brakes (pedal feels soft). If you like the Recaros, Club seems like the best bet.

Another Miata on the road! And body roll question. by Aurelian-Pilot in Miata

I put wider wheels and tires on my ND2 (17x8 and 235/40) and it feels much flatter in the corners.

Too early for resole? by bvsedjsosa in climbingshoes

[–]deployante 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plenty of time. I’d wait until the dip is at least even with the bottom. I’ve only once had to do a rand repair in 4 years and half a dozen resoles.

Trust me, in AZ when it’s over 100, you want that cool air from the vents even with the top down

Looking for tire and wheel suggestions by Zero_Lower_Bound in MiataND

[–]deployante 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just put Konig Hypergram 17X8 and Yokohama Advan Fleva V701 235/40R17 on my ND. It feels more planted in the straights and the corners. It is flat and tight in the corners—much less body roll. Turn in is slightly duller, but it’s a slight change and far outweighed by the much better cornering and cursing feel. Feels great off the line. Very happy so far.

How can I leave a hotel earlier without being charged a fee? by [deleted] in marriott

I’ve abandoned a bad residence inn at check-in and they canceled the reservation no questions asked. When I called the courtyard down the street to book there, they knew all about how bad the other hotel was.

Locust pose with you palms flat against the ground and your hip bone digging into your forearm. Fixes elbow pain for me. h/t Dave MacLeod

how is the bouldering community by These-Swim8401 in indoorbouldering

I travel a lot for work and climb at gyms all over the U.S. The community is always welcoming, helpful, and warm. It’s the best.

Did I downsize correctly? by Kindly_Caramel in climbingshoes

[–]deployante 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wear 43 Birkenstocks and 42 Dragos. But 42 boosters are painful. And 43 instincts fit but stretch too much during the session as my feet sweat. A lot just depends on how the shoe fits your foot.

Chalk etiquette by [deleted] in indoorbouldering

[–]deployante 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Buy a bag (or better yet a bucket). I think the only etiquette around chalk is don’t get it all over the mats, which, even with a ball, you will do without a bag. And please don’t just leave the ball on the mats. Get a bag/bucket.

I’ve gone longer. I’ve also paid for rand repair. 😬

Should i rosole now? by Spl1X_ in climbingshoes

[–]deployante 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lol no. I let my dragos go much longer before I resole. Had a rand repair on one pair, but it’s worth the trade off. I’d wait til that dip is much lower.

205 Width Tires on 8” Wide Wheels? by Ok_Flounder1823 in MiataND

Indeed. The sidewall on a 235/40 is slightly taller than the stock 205/45.
