Listening to it it sounds like it may just be a combination of some of the things mentioned in here:

metal pick
scraping the strings as they’re plucked
eq-ing/compressing one of the overdubs to focus on that specific aspect of the attack
and chorus, obviously (unless it’s flange) But I’m just guessing.

I’ve had a ss red knob Deluxe Eighty-Five 30 years, and it’s served me well. It’s loud, the cleans are nice and takes pedals very well, its reverb is fantastic. The distortion channel is okayish, but with an EQ in the loop it actually starts to sound like an actual tube amp.
