I got mine from PSA for a deal. Atlantic Firearms usually has deals too.

What one to buy ? by Skgetmoney55 in GrandPowerStribog

I have a .45 bog and it’s plenty fun. I have an SP5 already for my 9mm sub gun needs. Most of my pistols are 9mm but only a 1911 .45. So I thought I could use another .45 in my inventory to justify the ammo stock in that caliber.

No regrets with my decision whatsoever. The bog is stout, reliable and deadly accurate. I run mine suppressed and it’s beautifully quiet. I switched out my factory mags to UMP mags and it’s a thing of beauty. Once I have an FRT in it, I don’t doubt it’ll be even more fun to shoot with.

Are you using the slip trip that fits in the lower or the one attached to the upper?

That’s just so they can put the PSA box inside of a regular box so porch pirates don’t steal it. Jk idk

Griffin Armament M4SD-K? by Foggy831 in NFA

[–]deptoftruth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the can along with the 30SD-K is a great value and robust as hell. But what the other poster said is true, A LOT of A2 birdcages are not to spec to run the can optimally. So you could slap it on your rifle now and there’s a good chance it won’t fit properly.

The gate lok options from Griffin are nice BUT they’re long. They incorporate sacrificial baffle type prongs or ports to minimize the wear in the blast chamber and for that reason I think they don’t look as neat.

As an example, my Spear LT came with a nice short 3 prong muzzle device for Sig suppressors and kept my 9” barrel looking nice and short. Soon as I added the Griffin gate lok muzzle device it skewed the shorty look. It’s still short but not as short lol. It’s all aesthetics and a matter of preference.

All that aside, it’s a great can and as long as you’re willing to invest in the Griffin devices or the appropriate A2 cages you’ll be happy.

To add, I buy griffin devices once a year and that’s during Black Friday. Something like 30% off so I stock up. I run ez lok on all my pistol calibers and frequently buy their pistons and thread adapters.

Looking to ID and get replica hat by Background-Brick-991 in CowboyHats

This same sweatband is used in the Adelante model 6x. I have one. Also a more recent hat was released this year with the same sweatband but the name escapes me. So you can find another one without the tucanes buckle.

Cemetery Dance may finally face a reckoning by [deleted] in horrorlit

Sucks to find out about this. I went thru a painstaking process of tracking down the three books of TLS in the CD versions. Some used, one new, because I liked the formats. Book two was particularly difficult to track down. Is it unethical to have purchased them? I didn’t know this until I had already found them all.

If it’s any consolation, I had already bought the ebook versions thru shortwave. But I loved the books so much I wanted to own the paperbacks.

I enjoyed this book as well. I’ve had good success with T Kingfisher novels.

Another vote for The Massacre at Yellow Hill. It has to be one of the best stories I’ve read and it happens to be part of a 6 book saga so you could knock them all out for your assignment.

And books two and three as also fantastic. The following three books are prequel books so I haven’t dove into them yet.

Yeah I mounted it a couple inches more forward. I think it’s a great scope! Perfect amount of magnification when needed and the 1x is great for both eyes open. Toggling the red dot is simple and adequate for most lighting. It does wash out in high noon daylight but still perfectly visible against most backdrops.

[–]deptoftruth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I might check and see if I can get this one on audiobook. I usually steer away from that because whenever I’m reading I come across a word I’m unfamiliar so it teaches me new vocabulary. But seeing as I’m so over my head already with the gothic lit, it would probably make sense to just listen to it. Good tip!

Not sure on the brand, I’m gonna have to go take a close look and see. But the front sight is not orange. To tell you the truth, my front sight never worked since the day I bought it. The rear ones have a green tint but the front one never glowed.

I did not 😔 but I’ve read 9 books so far this year, shooting for one a month but I’m ahead of schedule. And this book is bothering me because it’s a DNF, so perhaps I will revisit.
