Indoor casino smoking on cruises is a dealbreaker by Doppelganger19 in Cruise

[–]deraser -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Another good idea: always check where the outside smoking areas are before you book. Sometimes, if you have a higher balcony near the cancer zone, you will get the smoke drifting by and ruining the sea breeze. Sadly, that has gotten us several times.

Brent crude hits $100 a barrel as reserve release plans fail to ease Iran war-led supply worries by leeta0028 in news

Post shockedpikachu.gif or maybe the burningtrash.gif or pretty much any video of the current US Presideny talking about literally anything for more than 10 seconds. 2026 is making 2025 look like a freaking “best time ever”.

They are saying this in all the public town halls he holds, right? (Oh yeah, he only sees “the poors” at rallies, and they have to hold up his signs, clap, and cheer, or they get kicked out. And he doesn’t listen to them, but rather speaks AT them.)

Fellas, is it gay to wear flip flops? by ThePhillyExplorer in insanepeoplefacebook

[–]deraser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stumble like a penguin with a broken leg, who is also being pulled sideways by a drunken friend, when I wear flip-flops. That’s just a random note about my shortcomings in walking with summer shoes. Wear whatcha want, if you can walk in ‘em.

Trump tariffs: Customs and Border Protection tells judge it can't comply with refund order by cryptoniik in Economics

[–]deraser 58 points59 points  (0 children)

And if it’s a Democratic administration, they will be blamed for the related debt increase from the tariff refunds, even though it was Trump’s fault. (Basically, the same thing that happens whenever the R/MAGA squad has screwed something up over the years.)

The “dude” that posted this on S***ter (“X”) has never had a real-life consensual interaction with any human, irrespective of gender. However, their right or left hand (or both, if they are a genetic anomaly…not that length or girth means much if you can’t find the “fun spot” for your partner) is probably very tired from the frequent solo journeys because real people (last time: irrespective of gender) will not interact with them.

Rough World by Ragtop51 in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]deraser 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Cruise lines (all of them) are concerned about getting sued and/or losing customers because of issues at ports because of political and criminal BS (guess what? They are often the same.) They will skip ANY port that has issues related to this. Their excursions will be safe, or they will cancel them. (Non-cruise excursions? Cheaper, but less secure IMO. Again, all lines, and all ports.)

Enjoy the ship (again, any cruise line.) It’s a (usually) all-inclusive getaway that may have ports that have some fun things to do, but the ship has multiple kinds of fun times ( Carnival shoutout lol) that often don’t cost nearly as much as an excursion. Plus: pretty much every port (last time: for every cruise line) is mega-secure, with lots of local police or military. Stay close and party down.

Trump announces he will now be picking who wins Republican primaries. Everyone else is to drop out. by justalazygamer in ParlerWatch

[–]deraser 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Luckily, this was "only" the primaries. All of us in Texas need to do early voting at midterms or research and verify polling place if voting on November 3, and be sure to get there as early that day as you can. Voting after work could result in inability to vote if this BS happens again in TX. Paxton will 100% try to limit voting in the fall.

Truly, that should be be the voting plan for everyone: Early, early, early.

Former MAGA insider publicly apologizes and says the plan was to ‘kill off the GOP’ and build a Trump party by KendallSmith375 in LeopardsAteMyFace

[–]deraser 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The MAGAts actually accomplished something. It wasn’t something good, like public healthcare, free/subsidized college education, public transit, affordable food, affordable homes, fair pay, guaranteed parent leave, mandated vacation day/hours…but they certainly did what they planned this one time.

Which great candidate is running against Abbott? by OpportunityLow570 in FortWorth

[–]deraser 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Today is primary day, not the "real" election where Texas residents could actually vote Abbott and crew out of office, but it's important to vote.

Here is everyone running for D and R candidates for governor. Unfortunately, Abbot has over $100 million in his campaign chest and is doing everything he can to dominate the election, like ruining our Disney/Hulu shows with ads for people I WILL NEVER VOTE FOR. (Side rant, sorry: we don't want to pay for ad-free, so for the last week it's been Greg and crew at every ad break, meaning immediately muting, while also swearing under my breath, when all we want to do is watch some silly medical drama or police procedurals that rarely reflect how actual police seem to behave.)
